I have previously owned Windows and OS/2 computers of various brands, and was moderately happy with them overall, but after being so happy with my Apple Phone, I decided to try a computer from those guys when I needed a new one. I do a lot of typing and medical transcription these days, and the software that I was using was available for both Windows and Mac, so I didn't really have to change the way I work. It was a pretty easy change.
This laptop is the first one that I ever owned that reliably allows you to close the lid and open it later for uninterrupted use, just like on TV. Other (Windows) laptops failed to do this for one reason or another. The entire system is ready from a power-off state in 12 seconds, which is very fast, but given the fact that I rarely need to reboot, even after installing most software, I hardly get to enjoy this fact. I got the 13" model with 256gb SSD and 4gb of RAM. Often, I run with the word-processor (still Microsoft Word for Mac), the transcription program (NCH's ExpressScribe), the web browser (Chrome), a stand-alone email program (Thunderbird), iTunes (to maybe download a movie for later), the Mac's built-in calendar (it can stay in sync with my phone and my Google calendar), the iMessage program, the Apple Dictionary program, and the Apple picture organizer (Photos), all at once, and the computer doesn't slow down at all. I really don't see where a faster processor or even the 8gb RAM upgrade would even be necessary for me. There is no way I could do all this in Windows!
Previously, I was an assembly language programmer, and needed my PC to do mainframe terminal emulation (IBM 3270) using the IBM 3270 board, and had no choice but to use an IBM Desktop computer, but that requirement ended years ago, so I am free to use what works the best, and while there are reasons today that make it especially nice to use with my iPhone, the Macbook Air works well with my friend's Android phone as well. Now, when I am done with work, I sometimes browse or shop on the internet or watch movies and TV shows on the various download or streaming providers without any trouble. I really could not be happier with my MacBook Air

Purchased this for Xmas as a "family" gift and I had trepidation about setting it up after reading all of the negative "install" comments. Figured, we'd wade through and once it was setup, it'd be great. Well, we had it all setup in less than an hour and had complex devices, so I'm not sure about all the negativity. We even have it setup to run a RasPlex (Rasberry Pi device that runs our Plex TV/Movies). Had to program a few buttons, but it worked fine. In fact, we learned a few things about our Sony home entertainment system and was able to handle the lag time and some of the input cycles. The Activity setup was very easy to figure out if you just read the instructions. Never had to call support for any reason as their website was pretty helpful on how to get the unusual devices to work.
Setup: 5 year old Sharp TV, 6 year old Sony Home Entertainment system, TiVo, Xbox 360 and a RasPlex. All iOS 8 devices. We setup the software on an older iPad Mini, a regular iPad and 3 iPhone 6's as well as ran the MyHarmony software on one of the MBP's just to see how that software looked.
We created 3 separate "Activities" (Watch TV : Watch Plex : Play XBox) and now everything switches on and setups beautifully for each need making it ready to go with one button click. Remotes work great and the setup was all less than an hour, although we fiddled trying to get it to turn on more obscure devices like our IR fireplace. No go on that one, but we tried. So, I am very pleased with this system and even impressed that we got the RasPlex to work and all for $100 bucks.
Can't go wrong with this solution, even if it takes a little setup time, definately worth not having ANY remotes on the ottoman or coffee table. They're all tucked away in a drawer for emergencies.
Experience the ultimate convenience with the Lutron Caseta Wireless dimmer and Pico remote control. The wireless dimmer gives you the ability to set the right light for any activity whether it's reading, watching TV, entertaining or having a casual dinner. Control the lights from anywhere in the room by using the Pico remote control either in your hand, on a tabletop pedestal (sold separately) or by mounting the remote directly to the wall. You can even use the Pico remote to control the lights from your car as you arrive home. The remote lets you turn lights ON/OFF as well as brighten or dim them. With the Lutron Smart Bridge and app, you can control your Caseta Wireless dimmers with your Smartphone from anywhere. The dimmer works up to 600-Watt of incandescent or halogen and 150-Watt of dimmable LED or dimmable CFL.

A large custom full-wall furniture piece covered my existing wall switch. I considered wiring in a new switch to a location that wouldn't be covered by the furniture, though I didn't look forward to the drywall patching & painting that would go along with it. Then I stumbled on this product!
I installed it in place of the existing switch, and covered it with the furniture. Yes, this sounds counter-intuitive, but just stay with me...
Then I installed the wireless remote (with a wallplate bracket made specifically for it, available here on amazon) next to the entry door of the room because I wanted a permanent switch there.
I even bought an extra remote because I liked the utility of having a remote on the night-stand next to the bed.
So in the end, without having to mess with spackle, paint, or new wire runs, I got to relocate (well technically "additional locate" since the original location still remains) my switch, add a remote for bedtime use, and the whole process took less than 20 minutes.

Although it doesn't have most of the features the next gen console has, it's still a pretty good game for the 360 sure the graphics may not be as great as the next gens but it's still fun, besides i never really cared about the graphics in videogames i really mostly cared about the gameplay which is pretty good, and me and my friends always have a blast playing online and i'm surprised they started to add dlc i already bought the first one the first day it came out and i'm going to do that with the others
Control up to 15 devices in your home with this Logitech Harmony Touch 915-000198 universal remote, which features an intuitive color touch screen with customizable channel icons for simple control over your home entertainment components.
This is a very good, truly universal remote. It can truly replace your existing remotes (minus few RF-only devices like a Wii or some uncommon DVRs). It has a wide blaster that can usually hit all of your devices in the general direction (with line of sight open or glass). This uses the newer MyHarmony software which is excellent, very polished, and easier to use, which would be great even for someone who isn't as tech savvy. I really like the polished look of the software, intuitive use, speed, and drag-drop to buttons on the remote picture. You can configure everything for any device in the activity. You can add, remove, or reorder soft buttons for any available action from any device in an activity. You can configure any of the physical buttons to any device too. Plus it can learn buttons from your existing remote if you need to teach it one that it doesn't know. The MyHarmony version doesn't seem to know as many buttons as the older software, such as my TV ratio buttons to directly toggle to 16:9 or standard or zoom. The harmony database often knows more buttons than your actual device remote had available, but the old software had even more, at least for my devices. You can also make modifications directly on the remote, which will save back later if you synchronize to the website again so they are not overwritten. The touch screen also offers gestures that you can map to anything, although fairly limited to 5 - tap, swipe up/down/right/left, such as to swipe right to fast forward.
Get creative with this Pioneer Performance DDJ-SX DJ controller that features a dual-deck design, so you can control 2 tracks simultaneously. The 8 large, touch-sensitive performance pads help simplify operation and are illuminated for easy visibility.
