Somewhat disappointing, but still a good album

I'm somewhat surprised by the high praise this album has gotten all over the place. "Early in the Morning," James Vincent Mcmorrow's first album is one of my favorite CDs of the past decade. Of course, I can't expect, nor would I want him to just repeat the same stuff on a second album. I totally respect and understand why he veered away the way he did on this album; however, I feel that this album lacks the emotion of the first album. Also, his falsetto was amazing in the first album, but in this one, he just goes higher and higher with it to the point where it starts to actually get annoying. Overall, it's still a good album to listen to all the way through and any fan of James Vincent McMorrow should buy it; it's just not amazing the way first one was.
