Handsets Needed Rebooting

I have an earlier version (6 months old) of this model. In general, they are easy to use and have good sound quality. I find the intercom capability especially handy to pass word to kids and spouse in various corners of the house that breakfast or dinner is ready, without screaming my head off!

My complaint is that two of the four handsets mysteriously stopped getting a dial tone (again, the set is less than 6 months old). I checked the AT&T website which recommended unplugging the battery and then plugging it back in - effectively rebooting the handset. This seems to have fixed the problem, but you really shouldn't need to do that on something as simple as a phone. I have had a few different brands of multi-handset cordless phones over the years, and have never had to reboot a handset.

What's great about it: Sound quality, easy to use

What's not so great: Handsets stopped working

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
