Neat. Works as described.

It's a neat gadget. Works as described. Needed to call support during set up and while the agent that helped me could have been better, she did help me through the set up process so that's a good thing.
The only negative I see is the App (on android) used to control the system. It reminds me of a website from 10 years ago or something an beginner User Experience designer would do. That's the only thing that needs major updates.
Getting past the App, it's a really good product. Works well.

Zmodo Mini Wireless Camera: Add simple security to your home or business with this wireless camera, which is easily viewed from a smartphone or tablet with a free mobile app. A built-in microphone and speaker let you talk to the person on screen.

Regretfully, not worth it.

Based on the reviews I wasn't expecting much out of this WiFi camera but wanted a simple no frills camera with "fair" video and easy to use.
After spending hours working with Zmodo support getting it working, they gave up but I figured it out myself. Should be easier.
The video quality, when well lit is ok but any darkness and it simply poor poor quality.
If you want a usable camera, then spend a few extra dollars and get something you know will work well.

Is there a monthly service required

Nope. You need to sign up for a free account but that's it. No fees.

Is the Myq compatible with a regular garage door opener? I would prefer to have the option to use a standard button opener when within range In addition to having the option to use my phone from anywhere. If so, What is the set up process?

Yes it is compatible. I have an Overhead Door System and this works in conjunction with it. I can use the opener switch on my wall, the key-less entry, and my wireless remote just fine.

The steps are fairly simple -- 1) connect the module to the wifi network 2) mount the components 3) sign up for an account 4) configure.

Not bad at all.
