Protect the HD screen of your 2nd-, 3rd- or 4th-Generation Apple iPad with this screen protector that features advanced clarity and a glass-like surface to accentuate the sharp, vibrant high-definition images.
When you select a screen protector, you have a choice to make – “gloss” or “matt” finish. If you select a matt finish, you won’t have as many fingerprints, but you’ll have some pixilation/distortion of the beautiful HD screen. If you select a gloss finish protector – like the ZAGG Invisible Shield – you’ll have crystal clear viewing, but you’ll have to wipe off fingerprints. The ZAGG screen protector is no worse than other screen protectors for collecting fingerprints, but if having to wipe fingerprints off your screen every once in a while is going to make you crazy, don’t buy this product. For me, I don’t mind cleaning off my screen, and I am rewarded with an exceptionally clear picture.
Seriously, how much can you write about a screen protector? The ZAGG protects the screen, and I’m completely happy with it.
I had my ZAGG screen protector professionally installed at Best Buy, because I wanted it done right the first time. This screen protector requires the installer to spray a fluid onto the screen, and once it’s in place, you aren’t going to have an easy time repositioning or re-installing it. When I got the iPad home and opened the box, I noticed a bunch of small bubbles in the screen – exactly what I DIDN’T want, and why I paid to have it installed. The folks at Best Buy told me that would happen, and that the bubbles would disappear in a day or so. Well, in a day or so, those bubble WERE completely gone – just as the installer said they would be – and I couldn’t be happier with both the product and the installation.
Without question, adding a screen protector to your touchscreen electronic gear MUST be your first accessory. Open the iPad box and before you do anything else, add a screen protector. I not only recommend the ZAGG Invisible Shield, but installation services at Best Buy as well.
What's great about it: Protects the screen (must be your first accessory!)
What's not so great: Picks up fingerprints (but no worse than other "gloss" protectors)
Transform your iPad into the ultimate viewing experience with the Versavu from Targus. With 360 degree rotating axis and soft-touch liner, no other competitor offers you more. Take this case everywhere you go and know that your iPad is completely protected. This product boasts a stain-resistant padded exterior that wipes clean with water, along with a lining made from soft-touch material. The Versavu is perfect for either at work or while you travel. Type, watch, browse or chat, as this stand features a patent-pending rotating design that allows you to view in either portrait or landscape angles. Be proud of your branding and style with the brightly colored cover which frames the Apple logo. No one will mistake what tablet you are carrying and Targus allows you to take it there.
This is an excellent case for the iPad "3" (how annoying is it that Apple didn't just name it the iPad 3?), providing solid protection in a great looking package. The quality of the manufacturing is excellent: Good quality leather, nice stitching, and a soft, but protective lining that touches the iPad's screen. The case is kept closed by an elastic band – a bit of a “low tech” solution, but it works just fine. Of course, the coolest thing about this case is the multiple viewing positions it gives you in both horizontal (landscape) and vertical (portrait) modes. This is more useful than you think, and it’s the main reason I purchased this case.
The case isn't perfect. I don’t like the position of the stylus/pen holder (I use – and really like – the Wacom Bamboo Stylus), as it adds bulk to the outside of an already bulky case. This is the only reason I’m rating the case a 4 instead of a 5 (I’d give it 4.5 if I could). I know that Targus actually considers that placement as an advantage, since it gives you another (flatter) viewing/typing angle, but I find that I never use it for that. I would prefer the stylus holder to be tucked neatly on the inside.
Also please note: This case does not turn the iPad off when closed. I couldn’t care less about that, but if it’s important to you, look elsewhere. I’m surprised at how many reviews complain about this, saying something like “…the magnets in the case are very small. Probably only about 1 in 20 times would the iPad sleep after closing the cover, and the magnets did nothing to keep the case closed…”. Well, this product does not have magnets, does not turn off the iPad when closed, and never advertises that it does! So these people bought the wrong case and then complain that it doesn’t do something. That’s like buying a Honda Civic and then writing bad reviews about the car because it won’t go 0-60 in under 4 seconds. :-/
Pros: • Beautiful, professional design • Solid protection of your iPad • Great viewing angles
Cons: • A little hefty • External stylus holder
Overall, I highly recommend this case. If you want a professional looking, high quality case that allows for horizontal and vertical viewing of your iPad – and you don’t need auto turn off and don’t mind a little more bulk – then this is the case for you.
What's great about it: High quality, solid protection
What's not so great: External stylus holder adds extra bulk
Keep your media and documents with you while you're on the go with this SanDisk SDCZ60-064G-A46 64GB flash drive that features SanDisk SecureAccess software to keep your files protected.
I purchased this large capacity flashdrive so that I could store and carry all my files off the PC (I have only program files on the PC). This way, if I change PCs -- say, between my work PC and my home PC -- I always have my data files with me. It also means, if my PC crashes for some reason, my files are not lost.
Anyway, I have been very pleased with the performance of the SanDisk Cruzer 64GB USB Flash Drive. I was able to do exactly what I wanted -- pull all files off the PC and on to a portable drive I could carry in my pocket. The form factor is a little more bulky than other flash drives, but the design is simple and functional. It's a little expensive, but the capacity allows you to really carry just about everything.
My only real complaint is the software that SanDisk insists on preloading on the drive. Every PC will now recognize a device when you stick it in a USB port, and I don't want help in "managing my files"... I can do that fine through Windows Explorer. I can only assume the software is intended to help people who are completely baffled by all the "new-fangled computer stuff", but I find it more convoluted and confusing. I mean, if you can't even work Windows Explorer, you probably should just go back to using pencil, paper and a calculator. ;-)
This collection includes all 8 films from the Harry Potter saga. Based on the novels of J.K. Rowling, the films follow Harry (Daniel Radcliff) as he learns about his magical heritage, and the pivotal role he plays within the wizard community. Along the way, he forms indelible bonds with classmates Ron Weasely (Rupert Grint) and Hermione Granger (Emma Watson), who help him as he tries to defeat the evil wizard Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes).
You know the movies -- has anyone in the known universe really not seen them? -- so this review is about the quality of the Blu-Ray "Complete Collection Years 1-7 (8pc)", not a critique of the movie itself (if you are looking for a critique, stop reading now and move on to the next review :-) ).
The short review of this Blu-Ray collection is it doesn't work. 4 of the 8 disks simply would not load into my higher end Blu-Ray player (a Sony BDP-BX2). The other 4 loaded fine, and I have no problems with any other Blu-Ray or DVD disks loading in the machine. Yes, I'm sure I could bring the Blu-Ray collection back to Best Buy and beg for an exchange, but I simply shouldn't have to. And since I've had them for about 2 months (didn't try to play them until recently) and have no receipt, my guess is Best Buy won't exchange them anyway. In fairness to them, they wouldn't have any idea if I really bought them from Best Buy or not. So I'm pretty much stuck...
As for the other 4 disks -- the ones that work -- the Blu-Rays didn't show any perceptible difference in picture quality over the DVDs that we already had. Not disappointing, just not that much better.
Sorry, but I'm just not that impressed with this collection, and wouldn't really recommend it to anyone.
