A program very much in the vein of Dynasty and especially Dallas (which it resembled on many levels) the one-season NBC drama The Yellow Rose (1983-84) unfolded on the titular West Texas ranch, a sprawling estate of 200,000 acres that had been built by the late entrepreneur Wade Champion. Episodes followed various conflicts and passions that erupted in his family, especially as they involved his two sons, Quisto (Edward Albert) and Roy (David Soul) and his 29-year-old widow, Colleen (Cybill Shepherd), as well as Chance McKenzie (Sam Elliott), a strapping cowboy with a dark past, who just happened to be Wade's illegitimate son. This box set contains all 22 episodes from Season One.

great old show

I was glad to hear this was on dvd I used to visit my mother and watch this when I was on break from the Army. I hope to buy it soon
What's great about it: The whole thing
What's not so great: needs to be remastered and then on blu ray

I am so glad they made this and yes the surprise during the credits is great but the big laugh is it is only extended one minute where is the extra scene it all seemed to be the same movie but a great one. It Is a MUST HAVE. But they should add the two small deleted scenes that are in the extras to make it an extended edition

Great movie

Though other directorshave taken Comic book movies other directions this is still a great movie I have enjyed it 3 times in the theatres and will enjoy it on Blu ray hoping the extended version is more than 2 or 3 minutes longer
What's great about it: The CGi and the colors and story
What's not so great: It need to be about 10 minutes longer

Great Movie

I think it is the best of the 3 movies the second one was okay but not happy with the fact this edition had no special features on the blu ray where are the alternate or deleted scenes where are the behind the scenes. Happy with a digital copy and dvd but where are the extras

This is one movie I have watched over 635 times now and will watch again when this bluray comes out. The extras are great the whole movie is awesome the writing the whole thing. This is the best movie ever

One of my all time favorites

I am very glad to see that this movie is being put on blu-ray I have watched my old dvd too many times. I hope they do give it better sound as well as picture my only problem is that I should have pre-ordered it two months ago when I first saw it as the price was $11 less than it is now will have to go to other stores and see their pricing on the movie now

What's not so great: the price on pre-order went up too much

Michael Apted's under-appreciated Thunderheart comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. English and French soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital Surround. Subtitles are accessible in both of those languages. Supplemental materials are limited to a theatrical trailer. While the extras leave something to be desired, the sound and picture quality are solid enough that this Columbia/TriStar disc should not disappoint those looking for something outside of the Hollywood mainstream.

A Great movie

I f you are interested in the plight of native Americans since the raid by columbus and other settlers this is a recent view of what goes on. The cost of allowing the government to screw up the tribes and the way they are treated by their own when manipulated is here Also that a Family Member is in the movie is a great thing for me
What's great about it: The plot , the cast, the choreography and the settings
What's not so great: needs a high def bluray with 5.1 surround sound now

Best of the whole series

If it wasnt for Sean Patrick Flanery, the return of Carey Elwes, and then the whole Costas Mandylor storyline this movie would not have gone anywhere. They did a great job with the new plot and the new ways of killing the victims. This is a must have must see movie.

What's not so great: Needs an extended cut keep the digital copy seperate

I have loved this movie since I was a kid and to see the higher quality picture on bluray it is amazing how much better the sound and clors are. This is a must-buy if you own a bluray player

Not happy because the TV stopped working after 1 year. I did by the GeekSquad 4 yr warranty. But it has been 3 weeks and still isn't fixed. Each week they call me to tell me it will here 5 days. 4 days go by and they call to say it will be another 5 days, etc....
It has become obvious that GeekSquad has no idea when the part will actually show up.
Don't buy this TV and don't bother with GeekSquad warranties.

I know how you feel about the gel Squad. i have made purchases and had to get them fixed but when it came down to it they don't do any work until they have found a way to charge you hundreds of dollars to fix it. Buying a guarantee from them is just paying for the paper and then the labor and parts is separate. I do hope that Sharp fixes it for you instead.

I mean, it IS blu ray so would I be able to use a Upgrade and Save Coupon towards a 3D Blu-Ray? Also, can I price match Amazon at a Best Buy Store and then use an Upgrade and Save Coupon?

What movies show case a 4K HD TV?
Want to see what I paid for in the 4K
There are plenty of blu-rays with special effects in them such as action, horror and sphere. There are a lot of movies being made into 4K release. But the best way to see them on a 4K tv is with a 4K blu-ray player or a surround system that upscales your blu-ray player

What are the recommended AV settings for this TV to get the best picture quality?
I found that most channels and then movies you can watch on blu-ray have been great with Dynamic (Fixed). if it is not an HD channel then go with Dynamic.

Upgrade & Save; where did it go?
I remembered when Best Buy would do the Upgrade & Save for blu-rays, and so i was wondering why Best Buy hasn't done it for so long? Because it was a pretty good way to sell movies, and i was hoping they would bring it back
It seems that most of the time there hasn't been enough customers bringing in dads for an upgrade and it kind of went the route of not being a big deal. i really think it should be a regular thing
