AT $699 this has to be the Best Deal you can get on a 4K 55" TV with HDR. Also is a True Smart TV that integrated with 6" Android Tablet. Picture quality is Great and Speakers are 15 Watt in this Model.

Best Value 1440P Monitor you can get.. Period

After doing some Research on 1440P Monitors I came across this Model. No One. I repeat No One has a 1440P Monitor for $199. Cheapest one I have found with Matching specs was $259 plus Shipping. So if you have a Graphics Card that can drive 1440P you have to give this one a try. Recommend 1440P over 1080P @144Hz for Gaming. Picture look amazing. and at 60 FPS you can't go wrong.

Based on Benchmarks coming out this will be the Fastest Video Card on the Market, but with that Said unless you have 4K Monitor you are buying more than you need. Instead wait for GTX 1070 which is 24% Slower, but still as fast as Titan X and cost $379. That is $220 less than GTX 1080 and basically getting the 2nd fastest card on the market. Perfect for 1080P and 1440P

Overall very please with quality of Workstation. With the only issue being Power Supply Size. 280 Watt Power Supply is too small for a Workstation like this. Can not upgrade Video Card with this small of a Power Supply. Also wish Warranty was at least 2 years. On plus size very quite and fast for i5. Not a lot of Bloat Ware which is a good thing

Overall if you are looking for a Laptop for under $600 with a lot of Features and Mid-Class Performance you have to give the X550CA a real look.
What's great about it: Very Light, Intel Core i5
What's not so great: Battery Life could be longer

Ok after a extremely bad experience with the new ASUS rogue gaming desktop ( Do NOT Recommend) I decided to set my gaming up the old fashion way buy basic then upgrade, So after researching Best buy this appeared to be the best deal a mean an I5 processor, and dedicated video card for less than $800.00, I purchased this computer and first thing I did was add a $200 NVidia Video card ( you will need a new power supply as well, I purchased a good one for about $120.oo they are cheaper, And I can tell you with those small upgrades you have the ultimate machine for gaming and anything else, shows video in HD, runs all games on max settings without as much as a hiccup, processor is nice and fast, webpages are almost instant, I am sure if you are needing just a everyday computer or even light gaming this is a great machine. I do wish it had a few more USB ports and more memory but easily upgraded as it has 4 memory slots with only two used, I am not sure what these other reviews are about factory virus's and what not, But as with any machine I will recommend this: It is true a lot of bloat ware is installed on new machine's however this is usually piggybacked on the free anti virus software loaded into the machine DO not under any circumstance register the anti virus and when it is set up first thing to do ( and I do mean first thing even before Updates# install a new PURCHASED anti virus I personally recommend Norton 360, all the talk about it being a software hog is hogwash, # Used to be the case a decade ago# Yes it is expensive but hey your protecting a Machine you just paid $800.00 for so yes I will spend $70.00 to do that. If you do that simple step right there, even if you do not use Norton but any other PURCHASED software you will never ever see most the problems reported here. as far as this machine it is just awesome and very upgradable. Just keep in mind this is a $800 machine and I think some of the people reviewing it think just because it has a 2gb dedicated graphics card they are going to jump in out the box and play call of duty at max settings and run without a glitch that's not going to happen so I do think some expectations are just a little high #Out the Box# But so far this is a Great machine, I do see p[people comparing this to an HP envy which being a HP person myself #This is my first Lenovo) I would pit this machine up against that any day of the week it is a much better value as the price comparable HP Envy doesn't even have the dedicated graphics card, But apples to oranges.
One more note: Also keep in mind with all windows 8 machine's this does not set up auto restore except when updating so if in the future you have to revert your hard drive to an earlier state about the only option you will have if you do not set it up will be back to factory spec's. so I always set my system up transfer all my programs and when all that is done and I am sitting there with a FRESH machine loaded with all my programs, I manually create a restore point and save it, that way if I ever do happen to get a virus and have to revert the drive, I have the perfect spot to revert to. so I will not have to reload all my programs.

Did exact same thing. Got a 500 Watt Power Supply and Added nVidia GTX 660 Video Card and now my son can run GTA 5 in 1080P Max Graphics at 60 FPS. Which for Geek talk means very good..

I purchased this TV today for Cyber Monday online and decided to get it via in-store pickup. Buying it online, I was very hesitant as I could not preview the picture quality, and had never seen this model in person before. I got the 55" LED home and was able to set it up by myself - unit weighs very little (~30 lbs) and base only requires 4 screws to complete - Very Easy! Fired this bad boy up with my Xbox One and was blown away. The picture quality is fantastic for the price. Honestly, I couldn't imagine anything better for under $1000. If you are looking for a 55" and have a tighter budget, or are just looking for an awesome TV for a deal, this is the model you want! Great contrast, rich blacks, and 60 hrz refresh rate is plenty to give you an outstanding picture and viewing experience. Insignia really did a great job with this product: Very Impressed! What a treat!

I actually bought TV on Cyber Monday as well. Picking it up tonight and can't wait get it home and Set it up. Replacing a Mitsubishi 52" DLP TV that is giving me issues and is over 8 Years Old.

When it comes to buffering it has nothing to do with Roku Unit. that is Internet Speed. Try direct connect to router that will fix your issue or get a Powerline Adapters to resolve your wireless coverage issue. If that doesn't fix it. Upgrade your Internet Speed. Roku is the Bomb!! I own 3 of them and other than the 2nd Gen Roku Stick being a little slow works great.

We were told by best buy staff that this tv is amazon prime compatible. IT IS NOT. We purchased this tv, installed, and within an hour after set up realized the mistake they made. We are hoping they will be able to provide accurate information when/if we buy a replacement tv. I won't hold my breath :(

Giving 1-Star for receiving the wrong TV doesn't make sense. You are suppose to be reviewing the actual TV. Not that you received the Wrong TV. Also Be Aware of What? You just take it back and guess what they will swap it out for the correct Model.

This was a poor buy, did not realize that this was not a television and that there was no tv tuner available for it. Did not know this until I installed it and tried to hook up my antennae to it. It does have a great picture but I could not see myself paying so much for a large monitor.

This is not just a Monitor. When you cast from Tablet or any other Android device it is a prefect Match. I recently added Kodi to my Android Tablet and now I have access to just about anything I want to watch. Best Value TV you can buy as of March 2017.

Got this TV primarily for gaming and movies. Has been excellent. Great picture quality from any angle. The input lag is very low for gaming. In the price range probably the best TV I've found. The only downside is the Android tablet remote. It's more steps than it should be in my mind to use the smart features and the Chromecast sometimes drops the picture. You have to pull whatever you were watching up on the tablet again and restream it. I end up using my Fire TV more than the smart features.

Suggestion on Gaming Lag..

There is a specific HDMI Port you should put your Gaming Console on. Also you have to change setting in the Vizio Smart App for Game Low Latency and activate it. Should get your Lag time below 20ms which is consider pretty low for 4K Smart TV.

I purchased the Shield in order to stream KODI. It runs pretty good. I was disappointed with the amount of buffering in KODI. I expected more for the price. I think I could have gotten just about the same from a G-Box for half the price. Foxnow started giving me an UPDA error something about not being able to verify. Uninstalled and reinstalled and still have the same problem. I would have loved to have been able to plug earphones into the remote like Roku. I do not plan to use this system for gaming.

I would recommend you do speedtest at www.speedtest.net to see what kind of download speeds you are getting. If you are less than 10 Meg Down that is your issue and not Shield TV. Also there are some setting in Kodi you can do to assist with buffering. Try Ares Wizard for fix.

Do all the HDMI ports support 4k and hdr? I have a xbox one s and ps4 pro and don't want to keep switching hdmi ports.
If you want to uses the HDR function currently HDMI-1 only supports that function. Also you have to activate subsampling to activate HDR Function with device. Suggest going to the P-Series if you need on more than one HDMI Port.

Will this new version of Roku or any of the older versions work with a DSL connection? I don't have high speed internet. I'm really interested in this product but im unsure if it will work without a high speed internet connection.
Most DSL Connections are either 3 Meg Down or at best 6 Meg Down. I would not recommend any of the 4K Streamers with that type of Internet Connection. Best try Roku Streaming Stick (2016 Version) it streams at 1080P which should work. if your DSL Download Speed is 1.5 Meg you will have to upgrade your Internet Speed or Roku Device will not work correctly. It will buffer so much you will want to throw something at the TV with all the buffering you will experience. Recommended Speed for Streaming Devices is 6 Meg Down for 1080P and 25 Meg Down for 4K Content.

What are the main differences between the Premier and the Plus?
The big difference is HDR Content. Unless your current 4K TV supports HDR no reason to get it. However if you plan to purchase a 4K TV with HDR Support I would recommend for the $20 more get Plus Model. Future Proofs you TV. Also several Streaming TV Review site recommended Plus as Best Value for 4K Streaming Device. Also this week $10.00 Off so difference is only $10.

what is streaming media devise why would i want one already have direct tv
If you are talking about Direct TV Now you only have 2 options currently Apple TV or Fire TV. Roku does not currently have app available for Direct TV Now. Coming soon. So either wait or purchase one of the other options. Personal I Prefer Apple TV for Direct TV Now App. comes with 32 Gig of Storage and 2 Gig of Memory. So more powerful than Fire TV. However there is no 4K option with Apple TV. Only draw back.

I just realized, by accident, that the earbuds work even when I am on "regular" TV. I have a maximum data usage. If using earbuds for regular tv, am I using data usage?
You are only using Data when streaming via Roku. It has nothing to do with audio being streamed to remote with ear piece. That is bluetooth technology which is separate from your Internet connection.

Currently not offered, but Direct TV has promised it will be out this year. Best guess 2nd quarter of 2017. Also reports are they will have a Cloud DVR option as well. Which will be real cool.

Yes, as long as you have HDMI Port Free that supports 4K. It has nothing to do with WebOS 3.0 from a functionality stand point. .

What is the length of the ear buds cord an will it work if you walk into another room?
The Roku Premier Plus comes with a remote that you connect Ear Buds to. It works Wirelessly. So length of Cord means nothing. It has to do with the distance you travel with Remote from base unit which has a limitation of about 25 feet.

How much is it a month with local channels. And why do the prices keep changing.
Roku is a Media Device. Some local channels across have apps to stream, but not very many. Really depends on where you live. General no cost if your local TV Station have app allowing Streaming. Also Roku does not have a monthly Fee. The Fee's are for what Streaming Services you Subscribe to. AKA Netflix and Hulu.

Does this Roku premium + support Direct TV Now?
As of 01/26/17 no, but it is coming. Currently only available for Apple TV, or Browser. If your TV is a smart TV you should be able to cast it from Chrome Browser to Smart TV. Also reports they are going to have Cloud DVR option as well soon. It will be the standard by end of 2017.
