We bought this product when remodeling our home. The unit leaked water on its very first use. By the time it was installed and used it was beyond Best Buy's return period, so we went through Whirlpool's warranty service. They sent one of their contracted service technicians to inspect the dishwasher. Our personal contractor, his plumber who installed the unit, and Whirlpool's own contracted technician all said that to attempt a repair would create even more problems for the machine. Whirlpool's technician even said that he could not in good conscience repair the machine because he knows it would only make it worse. Whirlpool refused to replace the device and insisted on a repair. I am not willing to risk my newly remodeled kitchen on what Whirlpool says over the phone when three different technicians (including their own) who saw it in person all said repairs should not be attempted. We will just have to abandon this machine, call it a loss, and never buy a Whirlpool product again.
I picked this up when it went on sale. I don't know if it would have been worth full price, even though it is a good product. We have one of those small living rooms that required moving furniture around in order to play Kinect games. When I first bought it, I tried to eyeball the position of the Zoom and received terrible performance. As a result, I ended up just taking it off and moving the furniture. After recently purchasing a workout game for Kinect, I youtubed an installation video to see what I was doing wrong. It's so easy. Once you put it on you slide it over until it snaps into place. Now I feel stupid, and it works like a charm.
So in summary, assuming proper installation:
- Works like it says - use the Kinect in way less space - Simple installation once you know the proper way to install it.
What's great about it: Works as advertised. Play Kinect without moving furniture.
What's not so great: Doesn't work it all unless you make sure to install it properly.
