Best and most Faithful Harry Potter
on February 11, 2011

from Fargo,ND
I have been with the Harry Potter novels since they first came out in 98 over here in America. They bewitched me from the beginning like they have billions of people. The movies have done the same. Some have been more faithful than others yes...but when you consider that it takes alot of money just to make a certain scene and alot of time to do that scene that we may miss you count the two as separate titles and understand that its just an adaptation. BUT Deathly Hallows part 1 delivered like they said it would, the few tiny things they left out were not even noticeable because the things they left in were top notch acting that certainly is going to bring a BANG and exciting final bow next July. But this franchise is one for the ages. It may be ending but wont be forgotten.
What's great about it: Acting, cinematograhpy, costumes, music
What's not so great: die-hards will want every scene, but thats what books are for

Jeff Bridges does an awesome job as Rooster Cogburn. And Hailee Stienfeld does and awesome job as Mattie Ross the sharp-witted girl out for justice after her fathers death. Matt Damon does a nice take as a Texas Ranger.
What's great about it: Hailee as little Mattie Ross
What's not so great: nothing

Papi and Chloe, Sam and Rachel, Delgado are back!

We all know that the first movie fooled us into thinking it was going to be some silly movie about celebs parading around with chihuahuas or the funny Aztec dance scene, but turned out to be a hit. Having Heart and and a good message and adventure behind it. Pa-pi and Chloe are the modern day/live action Lady and the Scoundrel(cant use " T" word). This sequel had me moved in so many ways. I cant count how many times I laughed out loud, and I was almost moved to tears several times. This direct to DVD sequel practically overshadows the first. Its an AWESOME movie and I welcome Papi, Chloe and the gang to the Disney Dogs hall of fame. Parents will laugh too, as Papi struggles with his four little Chica's and his little Chico. Uncle Delgado has a history too.
What's great about it: The heart and story put into it.
What's not so great: nothing

very touching true story.

Penny an ordinary house-wife inherits her fathers horse farm. And instead of selling it she decides to fix it up and train some horses. The main one being of course Secretariat. Then she remembers how he loved racing the horses and decides to give Secretariat a try in the races and they do really well. They are the underdog in the situation but its a touching story about how it all comes out and she defies the odds of being an only woman in a " men's" sport. Diane Lane, John Malcovich are very good. Sad at times, but you find yourself rooting for Secretariat the whole time.
What's great about it: The storyline
What's not so great: nothing

Very Creative Movie with stunning Visuals

The Legends of the Guardians is a very touching movie about owls who are curious about this tale they have always been told. Its like a story about owls mixed with Lord of the Rings and a little Star Wars without the space involved. It has beautiful graphics and can be a little scary at times but is a very enjoyable movie.
What's great about it: The Owls.
What's not so great: Storyline can be alittle hard to follow at times.

Beautiful & Epic look at all the Oceans
on October 14, 2010

its well put together. Engaging. You see some of the coolest underwater creatures who share the planet with us. You go across all the oceans in our world. The underwater photography takes your breath away from the small spider crabs to the blue whales. A whole group of dolphins jump at the same time. All kinds of neat things. And you learn why Oceans are such an important part of the world along with the animals who live in them.
What's great about it: Facinating and Informative.
What's not so great: nothing

Great Movie for whole Family. Lots of Imagination
on October 14, 2010

Well, I thought the whole Cats vs.Dogs thing was funny and interesting in the first one. And having Cats as the so called " Bad Guys" with Mr.Tinkles as the leader. And Lou a rookie who got to join the " Dog Force" by accident. But this leaves off, pretty much where the other ended. We dont see Lou's human family. But he has grown up and has a few little ones of his own. And if you like James Bond, Scarface, and Silence of the Lambs look for little nods to those films in a very creative way! Cat person or Dog person this is an enjoyable sequel.
What's great about it: Imagination
What's not so great: There could have been more Humans like Lou's family
I would recommend this to a friend!

Original Trilogy Not Included
By Frank88 from San Francisco, CA
This box set includes the Special Editions (1997), not the true originals that were released in the theaters in 1977, 1980 and 1983.
So, Han does not shoot first. Boba Fett appears in Star Wars, later called A New Hope. And countless other CGI effects added by Lucas for the 1997 Special Editions.
There is no excuse, given the available technology and space capacity in a Blu Ray Disc format to not include fully remastered, 5.1 Dolby Digital audio, 16x9 Anamorphic versions of the true original movies. Many fans have made it known that this would be a much coveted extra, but Mr. Lucas has refused.

Enough Complaining PEOPLE!
May 5, 2011
Good Lord. I am as big a fan as any " fanboy" of the Star Wars universe, but my God must we hold a grudge and act like children. I was not around for the original trilogy. I agree its better yes, but the few MINOR changes made on DVD don't deserve 1 star. Give me a break. I actually cant tell who shoots first between Han and Greedo, and having the younger version of Anakin as his redeemed ghost makes more sense in my opinion, because he " died" at that age. Or his Jedi soul left off there. I agree with other posters enough prequel hate, the movies are a whole as 6. And the changes are not as bad as every one makes them seem. So grow up. Its still Star Wars....and in Blu-ray. Which has got to look beyond cool.
