Can you use an iphone on the verizon network?
Can you us an iphone on the verizon network?
At present, no, unfortunately not.
There are two primary kinds of cellphones used in the United States--GSM and CDMA.
They're the different networks that the phones use to communicate.
Cellphone providers like AT&T and T-Mobile use a GSM network, while Verizon and Sprint use a CDMA network.
iPhones--on AT&T's network--are equipped with GSM chips.
So, even if you bought an iPhone and tried to use it on a CDMA network (Verizon), it simply wouldn't be compatible.
You may want to consider an Android phone on Verizon.
They're becoming a competitor with the iPhone, if not already.
(I used to own an iPhone 3G, then 4, and switched to an Android phone, this year. I'm liking it a lot.)
I hope this helped you out.
