Let the "ghoul" times roll as one of television's most beloved horror hits arrives on DVD courtesy of Warner Brothers Home Entertainment. Each episode of the macabre anthology series is presented in 1.33:1 as originally aired and features closed-captioned English Dolby Digital Surround audio with optional English, French, and Spanish subtitles. For those curious to find out a little more about the origins of this long-running fright-fest, Warner Bros. has seen fit to include a "Tales from the Crypt: From Comic Books to Television" featurette that traces the evolution of the creepy franchise by offering interviews with comic-book historian Mark Evanier, Tales from the Crypt: The Official Archives author Digby Diehl, horror director John Carpenter, EC Comics writer/artist Al Feldstein, and others in the know, with the Crypt Keeper himself chiming in to offer his own perspective on the six-episode season in "The Crypt Keeper's History of Season One." Finally, for those who thought they had heard the last of the cackling host, the Crypt Keeper returns to haunt your nightmares with an all-new introduction produced especially for this DVD release.

This musical release from the explosively popular comedy-drama Glee includes all 22 episodes of the show's first season, following the William McKinley High School Glee Club and its inspirational director Will Scheuster as they navigate cliques, love triangles, pregnancies - both real and fake - and more, all while working on show stopping renditions of contemporary songs.

To exploitation and genre fans, William Lustig's Blue Underground label is a dream come true. In addition to their tireless efforts in restoring films that may otherwise be forgotten or scoffed at by other, more mainstream studios, their attention to detail and frequent wealth of bonus materials have shown a company dedicated to preserving even the most obscure cinematic gem. Of course, what's the point in owning a DVD distribution company if you can't give your own films the royal treatment, and with this release of Lustig's Fourth of July shocker Uncle Sam, he does just that. Presented in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen, the image is near flawless. Colors are vibrant and vivid, edge-enhancement is kept to a bare minimum, and there is little if any sign of digital artifacting. Audio is offered in both English Dolby Digital 5.1 and English Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround with no additional languages or subtitles. The Dolby Digital 5.1 mix is bold and clear, with subtle use of directional effects proving increasingly effective as the film moves toward its explosive climax. Beginning with a commentary track featuring Lustig, writer Larry Cohen, and producer George G. Braunstein, this disc offers a wealth of entertaining extras. The commentary track is fun and informative, with the filmmaker, writer, and producer keeping things moving at a lively pace. Though Lustig unfortunately repeats himself more than a few times on the second commentary track featuring him and star Isaac Hayes, it is this track that makes for better listening thanks to the wit and humor of the man who brought us the "Theme From Shaft." A "Fire Stunts" featurette with commentary by stunt coordinator Spiro Razatos clocks in at nearly five minutes -- offering a detailed look at the preparation and execution of the grand finale -- with a theatrical trailer, poster, and still galleries rounding out this solid presentation.
