When it comes to game to film adaptation things are usually hit and miss. For all the good ones you get like the first Mortal Kombat and Tomb raider, you get trash like Wing Commander, and Double Dragon. When I heard they were making a KOF movie I was pretty excited yet worried at the same time. Well after watching KOF my curiosity turned to disgust. Not only is this just a bad movie, but it is by far the worst game to film adaptation I have ever seen. None of the characters look like they do in the game, nor do they act like them. They could have called this anything else and no one would have known it was KOF. This was a total slap in the face to every KOF fan out there. If I had my way every copy out there would be destroyed and this film would be erased from history.
As your opponent moves toward you, you know you can take him. Sure he looks tough, but there are telling signs of his weaknesses and you know you can knock him out with just a few quick jabs. As he reaches back, ready to throw the first punch, it's as though you're seeing the world in slow motion. His footing is unstable. His chest is exposed. You dart out of the way and throw him to the ground in one swift motion. You live for this feeling. You're the best street fighter around.Conquer your opponents in Street Fighter V, the latest chapter in the popular fighting franchise. Enter a world created by the same developer that brought you the Resident Evil, Street Fighter, Mega Man and Devil May Cry franchises. Enjoy the action-packed fights you've come to expect from the Street Fighter franchise — now with a centralized player base that allows cross-platform play on PlayStation 4 and PC. Choose from an expansive roster of new and returning characters, including Charlie Nash, Ryu, Chun-Li and M. Bison. Pick up your controller and punch, kick, unleash special moves and string together combos with the new, highly accessible battle mechanics, which offer an unprecedented level of strategy and depth. Lose yourself in the action and storylines thanks to the Unreal Engine 4 technology that takes the next-generation visuals to new heights. Take it to the streets and get ready to fight.

I bought the $60 version of this garbage and the game itself is no different. The online is still broken beyond belief, and the offline content is a tacked on afterthought. The only major difference in this version is you get a nice Ryu statue, and a few other small extras. Do not buy this version or the $60 version. Both are the same incomplete trash.

I've posted this review elsewhere since I have such strong feelings about this game, so here it is again with slightly more info....
The good news is that if you only own an XBox One, you're not missing much. This was one of my most wanted games of the year and I was in complete disgust 10 minutes after playing with the sheer lack of content. If you like single player or have no online connection then you're stuck with training, survival, or a pathetic story mode that can be beaten in about 5 or 6 minutes with no skill. If this had come out at $30 I would think it was worth that, but for $60 forget it. If you own a PS3, PS4, Steam or 360 then please do yourself a favor and buy Ultra Street Fighter 4 on one of those instead. Not only do you get far more content, but you'll pay a lot less too.
Graphically the game looks great. However the shadowing on the characters looks terrible. If you've ever played an old Sega Saturn and remember the screen door transparencies, well its pretty much the same here, just smoothed out a little. Its not too noticeable in most screenshots, but playing on my 47 inch in 1080p it stands out like a sore thumb.

this game is better than USF4 and I love the V Trigger and its easy. Sorry Xbox fanboys you need to get a ps4 in order to play Street fighter 5 and King of Fighters 14 cause Japan doesn't like Xbox One

Fanboys?

Based on your review you should talk about fanboys. I bought this game today and its been the biggest let down of 2016. Capcom rushed out an incomplete game that pales in comparison to SF4 and all its expansions which you can buy far cheaper on Steam, PS3, PS4, and 360. As for King of Fighters, im hoping that plays better then this, because graphically it looks like its running on Dreamcast hardware from 1998.

I pre-ordered early for the beta

The beta had so many problems they took it down. I never even got a chance to play it. Still looking forward to the game.

Well....

they actually released a beta as a full $60 game. I originally gave this 3 stars, but after spending more time with it I would reduce my rating to 1, or 2 stars.
