Best fighting game so far.

Yeah, i know, it may be a bit too late to review this, but i just started playing it last week...
Difficulty: Just right. In normal or hard mode, against the computer or another player, nothing is ever a sure thing. In the very moment you think "Yes! i have this one!", your opponent uses a skill and recovers his health, or makes a quick counter and starts a rush of unblockable attacks. That way of handling the fight makes you always be on guard and keeps the excitement to the max.
Controls: Soul Calibur has made a perfect adapting of the Xbox 360 remote, using the A,B,Y and X for the basics while the triggers and upper buttons have loaded combinations that are of great use to perform some of the most difficult combos. Also the game responds beautifully quick to the commands, even noting the slightest dfference. Still, that sometimes works as a double edged sword, ironically, since you don't achieve the combo you want because of pressing the button a milisecond early or late.
Graphics: Simply awesome. Every small piece of cloth, armor, metal, leather, skin, hair and eyes are beautifully crafted and lighted just like in reality. There are SOME issues when you're creating a character and one piece of clothing or armor gets in the way of another one, but i call it a common issue. We have to remember how old this game is already...
Fun: Maybe the story mode isn't as creative as it was in Soul Calibur III, where you had a text explanation after every fight and you were able to make choices that affected the next battle, but the game totally makes up for it by having other good modes. You can get lost in the tower of lost souls fighting everyone while you struggle to get the last pieces of equipment, or compete between your friends to create the best fighter. It will be a long time before you start to get bored.
Overall: After 2 years of being released, it's still awesome!
What's great about it: Good to see, feel and hear
What's not so great: Controls may be too good, simplified story mode.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Travel to a galaxy far, far away and continue the story of the epic Star Wars saga. Set in the massive unexplored era between episodes III and IV, this storyline has players taking on the role of Darth Vader's secret apprentice — the powerful anti-hero, Starkiller. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II takes place in the era between Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. Assuming the role of Darth Vader's secret apprentice, players must wield lightsabers and utilize unimaginable force powers to fulfill the Sith Lord's dark plans. Will you be seduced by the Dark Side of the Force, or can you fight it to become a powerful Jedi Master?

Basically a walk in the forests of Dagobah.

Challenge: L-o-w. Enemies could be just running away from you and it still wouldn't make any difference. There are some small exceptions, like the big carbonite-thrower of flame-thrower droids WHEN they are not alone, or the fact that force lightning now makes the same effect as tickling your opponent. (Droids keep moving while they're zapped, which i think is because they don't have tickles. And you can have the power itself at level 3 and use your whole force bar in one attack and a STORMTROOPER survives it! and i'm talking about normal difficulty mode!)
After that, every other enemy has a weakness, and you don't even get the challenge of finding that weakness, as the game tells it to you the first time you find that type of enemy.
Excitement: with small challenge comes small excitement, mostly because you always win. This is the disadvantage of having an all-powerful main character like Starkiller: You never feel like you are in any real danger. You never get to think, "Man, if they give me one more blow, i'm done!". And though it may be that the developers made it that way on purpose, to allow the player to feel like a dangerous half-sith, i do like to get that feeling. Not even the appearances of Yoda or Boba Fett were enjoyable, as Starkiller basically looks at them and keeps walking.
Graphics: This is the whole reason this game gets four stars from me. The graphics are good. Really good, even getting to match the levels of Mass Effect 2 or Halo Reach, and being a much more faster-paced game, it is truly an accomplishment. The game has detail in every part of it, from the carbonite statues to the bubbling bacta inside the tanks in a medical bay. Costumes are much more properly adapted in the whole game, as most animations are just part of the gameplay, like if they were just another grapple move. Still, graphics aren't all. You need challenge, excitement, and a good story...
Length:...And you don't get any of these in the game. The game is too short and quick, as it goes through only four different locations, not counting Dagobah, through which you just walk without fighting anything. Going to Dagobah was a really good chance to see some of its faunae, maybe some rare species that would be fun to fight with the force, but instead you just see the trees and swamps as in episodes V and VI. Other than that, nothing really special or major twists in the storyline.
Overall: I didn't call it walk in the forests of Dagobah for nothing, but because it describes it perfectly: It looks pretty, but everything else stinks, and the most dangerous thing on it is your own thoughts... game developers have to start to figure out that gamers now look for something more that a very detailed lightsaber.
What's great about it: Graphics
What's not so great: Easy, short, pretty much boring...

Zombies, gambling and lots of duct tape

Alright! it did take a long time to arrive, but the wait is totally worth it!
Excitement: Hear the moans of the zombies coming towards you when you have one square of life and your only weapon is an indoor trash bin. Then you'll know excitement.
Challenge: You may think that the zombies can be ran around, or quickly beat with the weapons that you get, but it's really not that simple. Weapons are truly powerful, but they last too short, and as soon as you run out, you either have to trust your fists or that there is something good close to you. If you run, eventually one of them gets you. And then there's the Psychopaths...
Still, with most encounters being optional, you do get just the difficulty that you want.
Graphics: Low. Pretty low.
Don't get me wrong, the graphics are clear, and realistic, but there are times when the frame rate slows down, either during gameplay or during scenes. And in the underground maintenance area of the city, sometimes the warehouses don't load up, so you get... Yes! invisible walls.
Length: It doesn't take necessarily much to get to the level cap, which makes pp a bit useless after you reach it, but there will be a long, long time before you have played all the missions, used every weapon, won at every mini game, find every outfit, give every gift, combined every drink, and get to every TIR leaderboard. Specially that last one.
What's great about it: Pretty good story, large amount of weapons and missions.
What's not so great: Limited open world, some graphic issues.

THE Halo game

Ok, this game is so awesome that i'll divide the review in the different parts. Only that way can i express its greatness in easy words:
Excitement: The original Halo was great because of the many different ways to achieve your goal. In Reach, let's just say you can choose between jetpacking above an enemy and shower them with everything you want (from bullets to lasers), creating a decoy of yourself to draw them out and fool them, or turning invisible and sneaking behind them to do you know what.
Challenge: It is just the amount of difficult that you want it to be. Your have easy mode if you just want to look at the story, normal for a bit of challenging, heroic and legendary, the real challenge. And in levels that have vehicles, you can make it extra challenging by letting an AI drive.
Graphics: It turned even sweeter than it was before. The campaign has some motion effects that allow the game to see even more real, like a blur when you look around quickly, extra lights and poligons everywhere. In the multiplayer they didn't include them so much to improve the gameplay and maintain it as true as before.
Length: Already beat the campaign? now beat it on heroic. Done that too? then on Legendary. Already did? connect to xbox live and aim to the onyx division. Now THAT might take you some time. Or you can keep the lone wolf stuff and try to win a firefight by yourself.
Overall: Everyone that thought sometime that halo was a good game will say that this is the best Halo ever. Everyone that didn't think so will say it anyway!
What's great about it: Not only more of the best, but better!
What's not so great: They still didn't teach AIs to drive
I would recommend this to a friend!
