App Now More Stable, Love Soundtouch

We have 2 ST10's, 1 ST30, 1 ST300, the ST sub, and the ST surround sound speakers. I love how they all synchronize together and now that Bose appears to have finally gotten the software to be more stable and the ST units stay connected to WiFi, they are an excellent system. We plan to get more ST 10 units for other rooms in the house and hope they make outdoor ST units, with 18 hour batteries and AC power, usb charging, IPX7, maybe use the Free Space 51 form factor except in anodized Aluminum, add the ST rubber top buttons, bluetooth, IPX8 floating remote to keep in the pool or hot tub, and enough power to cover a 750 to 1000 sq ft area, and ability to be paired. Put a small sub in the base of the FS51, maybe call it the SoundTouch 51? A cool carrying handle too. Priced at $750 a pair or less and I'd be your first customer. Black or Green anodized.

Ignore the reviews about no highs or lows, must be Bose. This unit mated to the Bose wireless sub produces a magical experience. The self tuning mode from Bose is genius and works wonderfully. The soundbar provides a superior soundstage with superb left, right, and center channel distinctions. Powerful booming sound from the soundbar by itself, but adding the sub is mandatory. Netflix movies sound amazing.

Pretty Good Quality, Still Too Much Plastic

Purchased this hoping it would work for outside projector parties. Unfortunately, a slight wind, and this thing starts to tip. Also key parts of the locking mechanism are cheap plastic and I worry about longevity of the product. Indoors only, seems to be a great screen. Outdoors, 1 start. Recommendation based on outdoor use.
Unfortunately, the 120" Elite Screen Yard Master 2 is sold out on line with Best Buy, so I had to order it off Amazon. Reviews for this screen appear to be ideal and hopefully Best Buy will get it back in stock soon.

Considered this system, read many of the reviews, and it appears if they had gone with a "puck" type dial to adjust volume, this would likely be the clear choice for most people. As it stands, the volume knob on the demo unit in the store, and per the kid there for the many that are regularly returned, the speaker tends to crackle with static as the potentiometer or volume knob is turned and many times when you aren't expecting it. Amazon actually has a replacement volume knob module for sale because folks love the sound but hate the reliability. Took it back.

An Odd Piece of Equipment, Perfect for Me

I purchased this solely for use when my family is using our Epson HD 2045 LCD Projector outside for moving night in the backyard. I'm using a Roku streaming stick in the HDMI port of the projector, and needed something with minimal cords to play movie soundtracks for a group of folks in lawn chairs. This thing has 450 watts of outdoor home theatre pumping sound! The Bose Soundlink 30 was taken back due to price for value, not loud enough, not enough bass as well as it didn't work with Windows 10 PC's.
My setup is a 3.5 mm audio cable, 20' coiled from Best Buy, out from the LCD projector into the RCA plugs on the Sony speaker, and we should be set.
Plan to have an entire weekend of Clint Eastwood films on a 120" screen while a campfire is burning on the shores of Table Rock Lake.
For those above 40, don't be scared of the flashing LED's and strobe features of this speaker system, it can be switched off with the free smart phone Sony app.

Overpriced, Sound Doesn't Fill the Room

I'm an avid Bose fan and money was not an object for this purchase. I needed something that my wife could use in the kitchen to stream audio, but mainly, I wanted something when I took our Epson LCD projector to various places outside, we could have some decent sound and minimal cords for outdoor movie parties for the kids. Reading the manual closer, it appears their app doesn't work with Windows 10 PC's to stream bluetooth music/movies, so you have to have a 3.5mm cord and place your laptop near to the speaker.
Went and got my old Harmon Kardon HK395 computer speakers (2.1 with a sub) to compare, and outside, movies, my 20 year HK395's blew the Bose away, better separation, better bass, and I paid $30 for them.
Sorry Bose, picking up another set of HK395's off ebay and I'll just put up with the extra cords on kid outdoor movie night.

My kids are loving this thing way more than I expected. Only thing I would like to have seen is a 3.5 mm audio in jack on the back in addition to the RCA audio in jacks.
Zero distortion even at full volume. This is the perfect backyard theatre speaker. I'm tempted to go pick up another one to provide some real audio separation for Clint Eastwood marathon outdoor video party night.
I tried all the other wireless speaker systems in the store and this is the only one that truly has tons of volume and bass, suitable for a large group of folks gathered outside. The handles are superb. The bluetooth links up easily. The smart phone app works seamlessly. A system you aren't afraid to grab and take to the backyard.

Treble, not that I've found, but bass, yes, assuming one has the Bose sub. I run it on the highest bass setting

Can you connect two of them together with left right stereo seperation or is just for party mode ,

Yes, as I just purchased my 2nd one of these yesterday, it provides left and right channels. Both have to be plugged in or sync'd via bluetooth.

Can I use a 3.5 mm plug to directly plug my phone into the speaker?
Absolutely, yes, but the bluetooth to your phone is much more convenient.

Can you buy a plug to connect it to a truck so it can play on charge
Yes, absolutely. Just like any other AC powered device. You would need to get a hefty DC to AC power inverter, suggest 1000 watts just to be on the safe side and it will have to be directly wired or using alligator clamps to your truck's battery.
Keep your truck running as I suspect this will drain your truck's battery fairly rapidly otherwise.

Is this mainly for Streaming such as Pandora or other computer media Types because if I invest 500. that is what I would want it for __hooked to a laptop.
Streams Pandora without needing a laptop once you've set it up.
