number buttons stopped working

I really thought my replacement universal remote problems were over when I bought TWO of these(for two separate TVs). It was a little tricky to set codes but not bad. What really makes me angry is the fact that the number buttons stopped working after less than a year. Even though the price remained under $30 between the first and second one I purchased I think one should be able to expect a longer lifespan! When a device stops working like this I consider it a piece of inferior junk.
What's great about it: Solid feel, AA bateries instead of AAA, nice looking
What's not so great: some number buttons stopped working in less than a year
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
