Who's blue with spiky hair and has an insatiable appetite for speed? It's Sonic the Hedgehog, and he's returning swiftly in a new adventure for your Nintendo Wii. Sonic's first solo mission in more than a decade takes him through the pages of the classic tale Arabian Nights. Enter a mystical Genie; he reveals to Sonic that several of the last pages of the book have mysteriously gone blank. With the nod of his head, Genie grants Sonic the ability to travel into the book's world at his signature breakneck speed. Mimic Sonic's unending energy and mind-bending movements, as well as performing your own dizzying motions, against vibrant Persian backdrops with your Wii Remote. Thrust the hurried hedgehog forward by rotating your Remote, and then tilt it to avoid obstacles or pull off oh-so-cool combo moves with the flick of your wrist. Likewise, swing the Remote to knock down enemies and advance with nothing standing in your way. With moves like yours, you'll really work up a sweat. Now, family and friends can get in on the fun in more than 30 mini party games that will get everyone on their feet to bring the house down.

Plays like a racing game where you jump.

Surprisingly fun compared to a lot of the recent Sonic offerings. It feels like a lot of the other racing games for the Wii in terms of game play... but with jumping and some plat-form style play. The mini-game is a lot of fun with three other friends. I would say that the main play through of this game is likely too hard for most young children... more for grown-up Sonic fans. The party game built in is great for anyone old enough to play games, though.

Different from the other Divinity's, still awesome

I had an awesome time playing this game... which says a lot considering how often I died. There's several different ways to build your character and level them... and there are definitely combinations that are more effective than others. That being said, you should be able to get through the game no matter how you set yourself up... As soon as I was out of the intro area, I found myself hacked to death by a horde of goblins. Goblins! They're supposed to be cannon fodder! It feels like (with a few notable exceptions like Dark Souls) RPGs have been spoon-fed to us lately... I blame spoiled WoW players... Long story short, if you like hack and slash games with a bit of challenge, this one's a lot of fun.

SynopsisYou watch the story unfold as your eyes jump from one cell to the next, rifling through the pages to see how it all ends. Does the bad guy get away? Splooosh — the villain gains an upper hand. Smash — your favorite Super Hero crashes into the secret hideout. The hostages have been untied, but — bamf — the villain lands a crushing blow on the Hero's chin. A fight ensues and just when the criminal thinks he's getting away this time — pow — your Hero does him in, saving the day once again. Don't you just love comic books? Now, you don't have to read and wait to see what happens — you can join the fight. Grab the pen and become a real Marvel comic book artist to thwart Doctor Doom's evil plan in uDraw: Marvel Super Hero Squad: Comic Combat. Using the uDraw GameTablet stylus, you can command your favorite Marvel Super Heroes, including Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Wolverine, the Hulk and for the first time ever in a video game, Squirrel Girl. The gameplay relies primarily on you, so draw in a curved line to mark the perfect path for Captain America's shield to take out a mob of enemies. Draw a circle to add a boulder to the comic book world. Or, pinch your fingers to create "zipper rift" that sucks the enemies into oblivion. The original story is divided into six in-game comic book issues, and you'll have to fight to keep the pages turning before eventually taking out Doctor Doom. With a cell-shaded art style and a range of environments like The Helicarrier, Baxter Building, The Vault and Sanctum Santorum, you'll be completely immersed in the comic book world. The pen — or stylus — is mightier than the sword. Join the fight and draw the line between good and evil, helping the Super Hero Squad take out Doctor Doom along the way.

I bought this game for my Nephew who's a big Marvel fan, and watches "Squadies" (as he calls them) regularly when he was five. He was so excited when he saw this game, and loved the game play, but just could not get past a lot of the puzzles. And since I was buying this as a game he could play himself without help from his parents, that purpose was fairly well defeated. By the time he was old enough to master the puzzles in this game, he was also old enough to play the Ultimate Alliance games with no trouble.
It was a great idea but I'm not sure they quite reached their target audience effectively.

Isometric games, whether turn-based or hack-and-slash have always been a favorite of mine... but bias aside... it's just awesome to control Marvel characters and run around with a team you built. Not to mention the very destructible environments. Controls are pretty simple, so if you want to hotseat with someone who doesn't game a whole lot, it's no problem.

The most precise thing I can say about this game... is that you FEEL like you're controlling Batman. When you lose a fight... you don't get angry at the controls or the guy who just caved your skull in... no, you just feel like you failed Batman. Batman would've won that fight.

First let's start out with what this machine is good at. It's good at being fairly priced. It's good at loosening dirt and juice and such off hard-surface floors without the use of any soap or cleaning agents other than water.
But beyond that... it's cumbersome and difficult to maneuver. It doesn't get very close to edges. And while it is excellent at loosening dirt, juice, etc from the floor, not all of it will stick to the cloth. In short... this is more of a spot cleaning device than it is something that will replace your mop.
What's great about it: Does what it claims.
What's not so great: Not ideal for using over a large area.

No Soul Calibur III, but still great.

To my mind, Soul Calibur III is the king of the series, and probably always will be.
However, if you enjoyed the game-play of Soul Calibur III (emphasis on combos and blocking rather than big repetitive single attacks) you'll enjoy Soul Calibur IV. The game-play modes besides the story are enjoyable, but not as creative as those in SC III. The character creation mode is still intact, but more involved than ever, as the equipment you choose to put on your fighter will determine their over-all stats and special skills. There aren't as many fighting styles as SC III had, but more unlockable NPCs I believe.
But best of all... you can play Yoda. And The Apprentice from The Force Unleashed games... but mostly Yoda.
For parents who are thinking of this game for their kids, the violence is about what you'd expect for a game focused on one-on-one fights. Lots of punching, kicking, and stabbing, but no blood. Comparable to the violence you'd find in a PG-13 movie. Many of the women are scantily clad, and some are quite... bouncy. However I haven't seen any signs of the "partial nudity" that the MSRB rating refers to, and I've played the game through maybe 30-40 times.
What's great about it: It's a Soul Calibur game, the fights are hectic and the victories feel earned.
What's not so great: The play modes are a little trite.

Will these power-hungry forces bring war to the skies, just as they did on Earth?Fast forward to the year 2171 A.D. in Front Mission Evolved, a 3rd-person 3D shooter that depicts the aftermath of a planet torn apart by war. The main conflict has ceased, replaced by increasingly frequent border skirmishes that constantly shift the front lines. Great alternative to all the M rated 360 games.

Front Mission Evolved plays like an over-the-shoulder shooter, but with certain RPG elements attached. It's a bit of a departure from the old Front Mission games, which disappointed me at first, but the game really is fun in its own right.
You pilot a giant robot/tank called a herc. As you advance through the missions, you'll salvage parts from downed enemies and earn pay with which to purchase additional parts. Following the story, you fight your way through various settings, blasting the heck out of other hercs, and much of the environment surrounding you. There are many secrets to search out and unlock through the missions, and the game has 3 different difficulty settings. More often than not you're flooded with opponents, keeping the gameplay pretty manic no matter what difficulty setting you play on. The difficulty settings alter yours and your enemies vulnerability. IOW how much of a beating you can take.
Although there are some missions where you're on foot (and scrambling to get to your herc) and taking on other soldiers face to face, the blood is kept to a minimum. Making this a good action game for kids who maybe aren't old enough to be playing COD. Though I'm 28 and still enjoy it.
What's great about it: Really, really big explosions and lots of them.
What's not so great: The story scenes between missions can be a little hokey... but it's Square so I'll forgive them.

I love it even though it crashes my computer!

This game may be the death of my computer, but so be it. Jim Raynor and Emporer Mengsk don't really look like hi-def versions of their Starcraft 1 counterparts... but so be it. This game is d*mn immersive. Best of all it still feels like I'm playing Starcraft, not a Warcraft 3 clone.
What's great about it: Not a Warcraft 3 clone
What's not so great: Extreeeemely heavy game, overheats my comp a lot.

Not CCR

It's important to note that this is NOT John Fogerty. This is a cover band. That might've been apparent to most but I wanted to make sure the casual shoppers noticed this. If you want an excellent CCR collection go with Creedence Clearwater Revival Chronicle and save yourself 10 bucks. Although most of the individual albums are still for sale so why not build a collection of something beyond just the singles?
What's great about it: Very talented cover band, I'd recommend to someone who was looking for such.
What's not so great: It's not the real Fogertys.
