Fifa 10 was the worst sports game I've ever played. The characters were cartoons and the gameplay was unrealistic. When Fifa 11 came out I was relieved to see a decent sports game come out for wii. Better graphics, better gameplay, more fun. Fifa 12 seems a little too similar to 11... The new single player modes are pretty sweet and you have the option to control one player of your choosing in "Hit the Pitch" mode, but overall it's just Fifa 11 with updated rosters and a couple new features. The controls are exactly the same, no new tricks or passing techniques and whatnot. The graphics stayed pretty much the same. One thing that got me was the players' appearances did not change at all (example: Fernando Torres still has short hair, unlike in real life, vice-versa for Sergio Aguero). You can tell they took the same fifa 11 players and stuck them into fifa12 without any enhancement. Also, I'm not too sure about the player ratings. I watch soccer religiously and I strongly disagree with how some of the players are ranked. Even some players that I hate i thought deserved better rankings. I wish the rankings were the same as xbox and ps3 (come on EA, how hard is it to stick to the same numbers?). And the biggest problem: NO ONLINE MODE (which leads me to this question: will there be any roster updates whatsoever?). Other than that, it's a pretty decent game. I do like the new tactics you can set to execute during gameplay (counter attack, offside trap, etc.). I thought that was pretty awesome. It's a fun game, there are some cool new features, and most importantly EA did not go back to fifa10 style.
What's great about it: new single player modes, updated rosters and jerseys, new tactics
What's not so great: NO ONLINE MODE, graphics, similar to fifa11, rankings are iffy
