Find the most efficient route to save time with the Garmin Drive 60LM navigation system. Driver alerts include road hazards, your fatigue level, speed limit changes and one-way street violations to keep you safe. The Garmin DriveSmart 60LM navigation system also comes with a lifetime supply of map updates that download automatically.
For simple applications, probably works okay, but try modifying the route, or god forbid you try to import a route generated from Garmin's worthless BaseCamp route planner software, and you may as well forget it. Route planner software has essentially no documentation, is far from intuitive, and even when you do something right, you only have about 20% chance of getting it onto your GPS - and if it's not the route automatically plotted, then you have about a 98% chance of the GPS locking up while calculating the route. I would have bought a TomTom, but I read that it has a dim screen. Best Buy had a working demo of the Garmin at the store. It tried it, and it seemed okay, so I was suckered into buying it. I spent $80 (non-refundable) on a map of Greece for my upcoming trip, so I wasted my money on that, in addition to the GPS! Maybe TomTom is just as bad (I'm about to find out!), but for darn sure, the Garmin is only good for throwing out windows (also about to find out!)!!! May see if I can get my $ back from Best Buy...

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
