I needed to increase the coverage area in my 3300 square foot house to facilitate DirecTV Genie with two clients installed and this did the trick. The router is upstairs and the Genie box is downstairs in the basement with the two clients in other bedrooms upstairs. It has extended my coverage area to even allow for my phone to use the wireless anywhere on my 1 acre lot.

One of the two challenges with this product is centering and evenly attaching the screen. It is smaller than the frame by design so you have to stretch it evenly and attach the plastic tabs (which hold the screen onto the frame) in an even torque pattern as if to tighten/tune a drum head. The other challenge is the mounting brackets. There is no adjustment with the bracket or the frame so it is imperative that they be installed level. If not, you can not adjust the mount to compensate.

Does the job but wish it was a little better

This indeed is a universal mount but you may not be able to use all the attachment points on the projector. I was only able to get the mount arms to reach 3 of the 5 attachment points on my 8350 projector. Seems a little expensive for what you get but all the mounts are pricey.

Does Not Work With All Components

Be sure to test this unit out prior to your return date as it very well may not work with your Satellite or Cable box. This is the experience I had. It worked fine with my PS3 but nothing else. Also, it has only a single input. Most applications will want at least two: one for the satellite/cable box and one for DVD/BluRay. I took this back and purchased the IO Gear one that has two inputs. Works great.

Had the opportunity to compare this model against the Epson 5030UBE in my house on a 110 inch screen at a viewing distance of 12 feet with some light from one window and one door in my basement, both of which had blinds. Although the 5030 has greater contrast, higher lumens, and a 3d chipset, the 8350 produced a better picture and is $1600 cheaper. Also bulb replacement is significantly cheaper on the 8350. Buy the 8350 and add on an IO Gear HDMI over wireless unit and you have a much better projector that is wireless, significantly cheaper to purchase, and cheaper to maintain in the long run.
