Almost the Perfect Traveling Computer

Price is the biggest downer. Microsoft is very proud of it for sure.
I have a Surface Pro 3, I5, 256GB. My wife wanted more computing power than an IPAD. So I opted for the Surface Pro 4 I5, 128GB. It runs all the Office Apps just fine. Runs Photoshop Elements as well. The storage limits video editing applications, but Premier Elements works as well.
Handiest feature is the light weight. I can now take both Surfaces with us on a trip for less weight than my last Dell laptop. The tablet feature is very handy for using on a plane. The new keyboard is much, much better than the old one.
Battery life is still so-so. 4-6 hours depending on what you are doing.
Makes a great video player when teamed with an external 1 or 2 TB SSD loaded with movies and shows. We added a 128GB microSD card and a 2TB external SSD. Now we can take all of our movies and files with us.

Rest assured your data is safe with this portable Western Digital hard drive. The 2TB of storage provides plenty of space for files, and the password protection and automatic backup software keep everything secure. This Western Digital hard drive requires no formatting when used with Windows 7, 8 or 10.

Works on the standard USB3 plug in on the Surface 3 and 4 Pro without any additional power except from the plug itself. No need to plug in the Surface Pro to use it either. It does drain the battery, but a great option to buy a smaller Pro and use this as storage. A little bulkier than the 1TB, but still, exactly what I wanted for extra file storage on the go.

Wrist Support Is Great

Been using wrist support on mouse pads for years now. Very effective at relieving pain. This is my third integrated wrist support mouse pad, having literally worn out the other two. The "sticky" bottom of the pad is an additional nice feature, allowing the pad to really stay where you want it. The memory foam support works well, even with the FitBit on that wrist.
Its plain, its cheap and it works.

Needed a new phone system with an intercom for upstairs/downstairs communications. It works well, sound is good. No internal interference with Wi-Fi or anything else noted - but two negatives for the system.
1 - The remote handset charging stations have WIRED chargers. Not plug ins. Not a big deal unless you are trying to get the charger or the station through the small hole in the headboard to get to the plug behind the bed, or the small hole in the desk.
2 - Transferring a call is a 5-6 step process. The intercom is great for announcing when dinner is ready or someone's is at the door, but call transfer is important and on this system it is a menu option, not a button or automatic feature when you intercom a station.
Overall hovering between 3 and 4. Giving it a 4 based on sound quality, battery life and other features.
Would recommend, but with the two caveats above. Some of the more expensive systems in the family may address the two issues.
