Easy and versatile

I needed a mic to record a performance by an accordion player for my wife’s ethnic dance group. This mic has a 3-way switch to change between different settings for basic voice recording, a -10dB setting for instruments or other loud directional sound, and an omni-directional setting good for recording multiple people. For my application, the two voice settings were too hot and I was clipping at the high end on my recordings. Had to use the -10dB setting which seemed to go a bit too far the other way and things were recoding a bit too low and I had to normalize the recordings afterward to bring the levels back up. One thing I noticed is that the recordings didn’t sound very lifelike using this setting. As if the mic was a bit too directional to adequately capture the sound emanating from the accordion which radiates in all directions from both ends of the instrument. I’m not sure I’d call this a fault of the mic. Rather i think it’s just a difficult instrument to record for an amateur with consumer grade equipment.
The mic was super easy to setup and configure and it works with all recording software I tried on my wife’s laptop. I tried Soundforge and Cool Edit Pro. I’m sure it works with pretty much anything else you might have too.
Final verdict: Great for consumer grade item, but don’t expect pro-quality for every possible situation. It’ll get the job done for most non-recording professionals.

Considering the price here, you have to temper your expectations on performance compared to more expensive tablets. That said, it runs most things I've tried with what I consider acceptable speed. 16GB of storage goes quickly if you use it to take pictures or video or have lots of apps. Games can eat up space quickly. Fortunately you have the option to add a micro-SD card to expand the storage. Battery life is decent and the screen is very nice considering the attractive price here.

We have installed a WIFI thermostat for this customer. Customer does not have a router, but since they are in a rural area, they use a Verizon mobile hot spot device. I just want to make sure this range extender will link with the Gateway and thermostat.
It should work as long as the hotspot is broadcasting a wifi signal, this range extender should be able to connect to it. The hotspot is functioning as a router as you're explaining it and the range extender won't know the difference.

I bought some skull candy ear phones from best buy and they have been stolen. Can I replace them if I have a 2 year warranty?
It's a warranty, not an insurance policy. The Best Buy extended warranty covers breakage, either accidental or due to defect, not loss or theft. You could make a home-owner's insurance claim on it, but I highly doubt it would be worth it.

No, this device is for connecting multiple devices to a single computer. What you're looking for is called a print server. I don't know if Best Buy still carries those or not. Some routers have this function built in. Alternatively, many newer printers support a feature called Air Print which allows any device with a wireless connection to your network to print directly to the printer.
