So we caved and got one of these finally and we're very glad. It is the lower end model so it's pretty much the same as the higher end model except it is pretty loud. So if it's worth it to you to spend an extra $500 for the higher end one then go for it but just set this one when you walk out the door and you're good to go.
The wheels also come off really easily to clear hair that is caught in the tires.

So we've been looking for a blue tooth speaker for some time and had some serious gift cards to BB. Decided to go with this one because of the cool appeal to it as well as the perceived quality. We were not disappointed! This thing is pretty sweet and quite loud. I jam to this thing all the time in my woodshed and it blasts over the saws. Covered in sawdust it still works just fine and I'm sure if I threw it into the sand it would do the same. You can buy crummy stuff, or you can buy this speaker. Spend a little extra, you'll be glad you did.
