Why they didn't just turn around and immediately make sequels is beyond me. I would have loved to have seen more of their adventures. But no...they go ahead and make way too many harry potter movies, even though those kids got ugly and annoying. I'm just glad this is now available on Blu-Ray and Digital HD.
What's not to love? You never get to see the Big Guy get the girl. And what's even better is that you'll wish John Candy was still alive to give us more of his loveable everyman he performs so well, but alas, this is the best we ever got from him, and there is no more. Miss you Big Man.
It's brutal and complicated and sometimes too fast and sometimes too slow, but it all works. You'll want to watch til the end, and it will strangely satisfy you, even if you don't agree with how they end it. But you'll keep thinking about it, and come back to it, and that's when you realize how good it truly is.
The rest of it is a bunch of cute chuckles, but that scene where everybody gets sick will make you fall out of your chair laughing. It's worth the price of admission.
It's been a fun ride, but as the shrek franchise discovered the hard way, too much of a good thing can actually be too much, and the fans will go away, and the funding will dry up...so this is a fitting END...please dreamworks, let it go.
...most of what Hollywood is producing today. Forgive Brian Bosworth for his mistake filled past as a football player, and give him a chance as an actor, and you'll wonder why he wasn't given an awesome franchise to command...he could have been Thor twenty years ago.
Don't blink because you just might miss the twists and turns...and when it's all over, you'll want to watch it again just to make sure that what they're telling you is the truth, is the actual truth.
My son used it trick-or-treating this year and it held up shockingly well. He hit every house, and some houses twice, and the bag held all the candy and then some.
