Best way to avoid hackers

I finally purchased my own wifi Hotspot rather than using free public wifi at coffee shops and other places. I figure that using my own encrypted network which is really over the cell phone network is much safer than using unencrypted public wifi. You never know who is sniffing out the public wifi and watching and maybe recording everything you do. I feel much safer now. And I liked the Verizon cards because they are good for 60 days and most other providers only provide 30 days of usage before they expire.

Great value for the money

This is one of the few stereo receivers on the market. Most receivers today are audio video receivers designed for media rooms and many speakers such as 5.1 or 7.2. I needed a simple stereo to power ceiling mounted left and right channel speakers in two rooms -- my great room and master bath. I have a separate media room upstairs where I use the more common A/V receiver. This Best Buy Insignia brand Insignia has nearly all the prerequisites including the ability to connect an iPod or iPhone. This requires a corded connection through the device's speaker jack. The receiver does not have a USB port for connecting these devices which is the only thing I would like to have had. You can also use Bluetooth but the compression may result in slightly lower quality sound reproduction but this is virtually indistinguishable to most. The Bluetooth connection at least doesn't require the device to be left connected with a cord. There are no front panel controls; all actions must be through the remote control. I have mine in an entertainment credenza and use an IR sensor to make sure I can control the device with all the wooden doors closed. The FM antenna is very sensitive and must be mounted in a good location.

Not compatible with 3-way lights

I had to return this to Best Buy as the very small print on the side of the box indicates it only works with single pole switches. It you have a 3-way switch then this will not work. There is a similar device that provides similar functions but does not connect to the Internet. The Leviton Vizia+ switch is compatible with either single pole or 3-way (with mandatory matching switch for the other location) that can be programmed to turn lights on at sundown and off at sunrise, or any other specific times if desired. Must enter the latitude and longitude of your location but Leviton provides a link to a site that provides that data.

Near 4K picture quality

This is a 1080p HD set with real 240 Hz refresh rate. For the price, no TV set can match it. This model is only available from Best Buy. It is not even sold on Panasonic's own web site. Not available from Amazon either. If you want superb picture quality at an affordable price, no other set comes close. Many Best Buy employees purchase this set for themselves. That tells you a lot.

I bought this to match the comparable LG washer model. Got the gas model. Interesting that the dryer drum is coated steel whereas the washer drum is stainless steel. Very quiet and smooth. The end of cycle signal is very soothing and not annoying like some other brands.

Easily enjoy a beverage with this GE CYE22TSHSS counter-depth French door refrigerator, which features an external dispenser that provides cubed and crushed ice and hot and cold water. The color LCD touch controls make operation easy.

Nice fridge but expensive

For some reason GE Cafe products are expensive. This refrigerator is really nice but like all counter depth fridges there is minimal room inside. Not recommended for more than 2 people. The Best Buy contract installers did not not remove all the blue tape inside which is not easy to get removed. Not keen on bottom freezers. Frozen food has to be removed and placed aside while I find what is hidden underneath.

Can I connect this to SirusXM Satellite radio
Can I connect my Sirius docking station to this Receiver?
Yes you can play SiriusXM though this but indirectly, as this receiver does not have a built-in decoder. I listen to SiriusXM everyday through this receiver. Here is how. I have an Internet subscription to SiriusXM which is an inexpensive add-on if you the satellite service in your car, which I do. You can download the SiriusXM app to your device either iPhone, iPad or Android. Once you sign in to your account you can play any SiriusXM station through the receiver. You can connect your device either though the receiver's Bluetooth connection, or what I use is a cable from my iPad mini headphone jack to the receiver's auxiliary jack. Then select the receiver's auxiliary input with the remote control. The only downside is that SiriusXM times out about once an hour. You have to tap "Yes I am still listening" to resume the broadcast which picks up exactly where it paused.

What is the sound quality of this TV?
Does this have surround sound or DTS? How is the quality?
No this set has standard stereo right and left speakers built in. There is a simulated surround effect in the sound settings but like most sets that doesn't approach real 4.1 or higher sound. You would need a Soundbar to enhance the sound of this TV, as you would with almost any other HDTV regardless of brand.
