Good game; baffling decisions behind it

The game itself is good, but the choices made in censoring it are baffling. It's like they changed things from the original Japanese version just to change them rather than for any real reason. The gameplay itself is just fine and mostly resembles the Persona games in battle with a focus on going after enemy weaknesses.

English and Japanese voices are included and both are mostly good. I reccomend playing with headphoens or earbuds because the 3DS speakers are awful.
Visually, the game is a bit nicer than the previous two with full motion scenes and it didn't mar my experience much to play it on 3DS. There was one particular part that destroyed the framerate, but there wasn't much to see besides smoke. One or two puzzles might also be more difficult because they weren't properly resized for the 3DS screen and you may have to squint to see some vital clues.
The puzzles seem to be a step down from before with some being reused in several scenarios and overall being too easy. The plot was also not as satisfying as the previous ones. Overall, the game was okay but disappointing compared to the previous two.

This collection has two Genesis games, five arcade games, and three Master System games (one is hidden). Every game works flawlessly on 3DS and has new features added in including 3D which doesn't affect performance at all. Two of the included Genesis games and three of the arcade games are available separately on the 3DS eShop although their normal price is the same as this collection. For those that purchased those games on the eShop already, the ones in this collection are exactly the same except for including little tips when loading each game from the main menu.
All of the games except Altered Beast are fun to play. Altered Beast hasn't aged well compared to the rest. Power Drift, Puyo Puyo 2, and Altered Beast feature local multiplayer for two players, but each player must have their own copy.

Can these be used for a TV?
They can be used for a TV if the TV has Bluetooth audio or a Bluetooth audio transmitter attached. The headphones are APTX compatible so there should be negligible latency between the visuals and the audio. You can also use a long cable to connect to the headphone jack of the TV, but you must connect to the included cable (use a female to male 3.5mm cable) because the end that goes into the headphones is proprietary and won't allow any other other 3.5mm jack to go in. Also, the bass boost feature is only available when using Bluetooth.

Any 3.0 or higher Bluetooth adapater should work with these headphones, but if it's not an aptX bluetooth adapter, you will notice a significant amount of delay between visuals and sound if you try watching videos. Some programs will allow you to adjust for such delays, but it's annoying to do so every time you want to watch something. You'll also want to use the adapter with only the headphones to reduce interference.
