This movie is so incredible, Richard Gere was born to play this part! He is so irresistible here, plus throw in a murder mystery and you've got a really interesting film. It's a very "80s" film too, that's one of the coolest things about it.

Loved this movie...really shows the struggles that people with mental illnesses go through. When you have a mental illness you can not put a band aid on it.. You can't put a cast on mental illness. Too many are afraid to touch the subject but this movie shows how a person can struggle through it, there are many break through luckily in 2000s but back in 70's etc there was not much. Great job on the movie.

A solid and fast moving adaptation of the Scottish play. The acting and set pieces are all very well done and the movie moves swiftly through its plot points. Some of the more famous speeches are performed in unexpected and sometimes surprisingly refreshing ways. It's worth watching.

This was a very good movie. Richard Gere is excellent. The story is simple. A man riddled with guilt showers the child of his friends with love and gifts. He is addicted to pain killers and he must deal with that problem. It's just a joy to watch Gere. Fans of Gere won't be disappointed.

Ron Howard's movies are always good and well done and this movie is no exception to that observation. The storyline of "In the Heart of the Sea" is how the legend of Moby Dick got started and what stirred Ahab to his lifelong quest to catch Moby Dick. Excellent sea-faring tale that is good, adventure entertainment.
