This has been working well, but initially, we had a hard time installing. Windows 8 needed the patch...and then was not recognized...and then looked on youtube to research further...and then found out that I had to delete a file from a execute file, a reset ping needed to be depressed on the netgear. I am not computer savvy, but point is, research if the wireless you have is compatible with the usb you buy before your buy.

What's great about it: cheap alternative and easy to install
What's not so great: difficult to load with netgear and windows 8
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great value for the dollar. Not a name brand per se, but so far, so good. The specs are remarkable and the operating system works well. Time will tell if Asus is a name to trust.
