Not much better than using the controller.

I purchased this remote because I got frustrated when using the controller to navigate watching Blu rays, well this remote isn't much better.
Except for the regular dvd buttons, ff,pause,next. the buttons aren't labeled.
I suppose if you've been using xbox for years you would know what the box of lines or partial box of lines means, we haven't so the remote is not intuitive.
On the plus side I do really like how the back-light comes on with touch instead of actually having nto press a button..

Bought to test 4k player and TV

First let me say this movie has a pretty predictable plot/storyline, but was entertaining to me none the less.
I purchased this to test out the 4 k playback of my 4k player(s) a Samsung - UBD-K8500 and my Xbox one S, and my 4k TV.
I thought the picture was fantastic, the Orcs looked amazingly realistic, although in some parts of the movie the ratio of size from Orcs to Humans was skewed, sometimes they were Gigantic, other times they were just big. The special effects were very good and the Dolby Atmos sound was great.

And for those of you that were wondering, I couldn't tell thee difference in picture quality between the Samsung blu-ray player and the Xbox one S. The Samsung obviously won the sound comparison as the Xbox one S doesn't do Dolby Atmos yet.

I purchased this to replace a "Diamond TVW750USB ATI Theater HD 750 USB TV Tuner" that was constantly losing connection, getting kind of hot and disappearing from my device manager on occasion. This was only about $20.00 more but has dual tuners and free software(Wintv).
The tuner works flawlessy for me on HTPC running win 8.1 w/WMC.
The software is lacking. it crashes about every fourth time i try to use it.
Since WMC can record 4 programs at once I'm not too concerned with the poor software, but may be checking out NEXTPVR to replace the WinTV software

Extracted drive to use in my OMV NAS

Tested it out as an external using USB 3 it worked fine.
I built a NAS box using OPENMEDIAVAULT so I decided to extract the HDD from the enclosure,(note removing the drive from the enclosy=ure will void your warranty)it is a ST5000DM000 inside. Works good in my NAS

Bought this to replace my wife's aging Dell laptop, it's kinda slow out of the box, but as others have said here, remove the bloatware and it is considerably faster.
I found that on my wife and my previous laptops that the best upgrade to speed them up was to put a solid sate drive in them, will be ordering one soon.

Actually drove my 4 ohm LSi 25's with no problem, I ran them loud a few times(not stupid loud, just loud) just to test and didn't notice any distortion.
Pretty easy to setup if you are at all familiar with AVR's

The only thing I don't like is the speaker connectors are just below the HDMI ports

I was looking for a larger TV and 4 k came across this on sale.
It has a very good picture with blue-ray and streaming service sources but the up-scaling from cable TV sources is lacking a bit.
I am coming from a 50" Panasonic plasma which had excellent up-scaling of cable TV sources

If you were to purchase a solid state hard drive, could you swap out the SATA hard drive that is installed in the computer?
Yes you can, just make sure it is 2.5". I will be doing this soon.
