Arlo Wireless Security Camera
on December 15, 2020
Posted by: Daddio
from Wesley Chapel, Florida
Summary:
The good-looking design combined with great features, makes this security camera very useful. The physical setup of the camera was straightforward and easy, the magnetic mount is a great design and helped make the camera easy to install. It did worry me, if it was going to move or slip off its mount, but it seems to be holding very well. The app setup was easy and straightforward. The biggest thing I’m looking for in the security camera is the video quality and wireless connection. So far I have no problems with the connection and the 2k video quality looks crisp. It integrated well into the rest of my smart home devices.
Overall, I’m happy with my experience in using the Arlo Pro 4 security camera and I feel more safe in my home with better peace of mind.
FEATURES:
• 2K HDR.
• Color night vision
• Integrated spotlight.
• Quick and simple wire-free setup
• Magnetic mount
• Connects directly to Wi-Fi (No need for hub)
• 160-degree field of view
• 2-way audio
• Built in smart siren
• Rechargeable battery
• Six-month battery life on one charge (depending on how often its tripped).
PROS:
• Magnetic mount makes it easy to adjust and it’s strong.
• Wire free
• Easy app setup
• No need for additional smart hub to connect online
• Magnet cable for charging is great and easy to use. Snaps right in.
• Spotlight is great for night video capture
• Video and audio quality are great
• I personally like the rounded design of the camera
CONS:
• Live video feed has a slight video and audio delay since it’s over Wi-Fi. This delay can make two-way voice communication awkward.
• You have to recharge the Arlo every couple of weeks, compared to a “set it and forget it” hard-wired video surveillance system.
• Wi-Fi connection is limited to a 2.4GHz network. I wish it had the option to connect to a faster, less crowded network (like 5 GHz) for flexibility.

A Good Value Smart Thermostat
on November 11, 2020
Posted by: Daddio
from Wesley Chapel, Florida
Simple and straightforward. No fancy touch screen, but it is an economical smart thermostat that does everything I need it to. I had a standard “dumb” thermostat and was wasting a lot of energy and money being limited to turning it ON or OFF manually.
Now with the LUX; I downloaded the app and synced the options to our schedules and personal preferences so it’s optimized to activate when we need it and automatically turn it off when we don’t. There have been many times in the past when I forgot to turn off the AC before leaving the house. Now I can turn it off-on or adjust it from my phone anywhere I am via the app. Now I have it set to my personal schedule: Off during the day while I am away, begin cooling before bedtime, and automatically turn off during the overnight to save energy. It’s only been a few days, but I am confident that the thermostat with pay for itself after a few electric bills.
The overall install was relatively easy with the directions in the manual. Just make sure to switch the power off at your electrical panel before installing. The app is clear to navigate and easy to set up. I have downloaded it across all of our devices. Better yet it works with our Alexa system, so it can be controlled by voice.

FEATURES:
- IOS & Android supported app to set up, control and personalize through your mobile devices.
- Works with most heating and cooling system types (forced air, gas, oil, electric furnaces)
- Connects via wi-fi
- Personalize it to your schedule and preferences.
PROS:
- Affordable price
- Solid value option. It does the job
- Integrated well into my smart home system.

CONS:
- No fancy touch screen. It is not glowing and shiny like some of the higher end smart thermostats.

Twice as Good?
on November 9, 2020
Posted by: Daddio
from Wesley Chapel, Florida
Yes that’s a click-bait title. Two ports is only one of the features of this Belkin 24v dual outlet battery charger. In my personal experience though, it is demonstrably more feature rich than the 5 volt charger typically included with lithium battery powered devices. To get the rapid charging advantage of a 24 volt capable charger like this one though, you’ll need the device being charged to have the ability to accept and control the increased wattage delivery this charger is capable of. To fully access the increased power capability your device needs its own hardware and software to talk to the charger to safely handle the power. Don’t worry though if you have an older device. It will automatically lower its output voltage to charge each device just fine according to it’s capabilities. An added feature though is that this charger has the available wattage (12 watts per port) to easily handle two devices simultaneously without overheating.
PROS:
- No overheating while charging two devices for long period.

- Capable of charging two devices even if one has high charge rate capability and the other is an older style.
- Come as an attractive compact package.
- The 120 volt wall socket prongs fold into the body when the charge is not in use helping to prevent cable tangling when removing from storage.
- It is compatible with any USB-A cable that you install into its two ports. For example, you can charge a USB Micro and a USB type C device simultaneously.
- Is designed to deliver high charge rates to newer Apple devices capable of those rates.
CONS:

- No USB cables included with the charger.
CONCLUSION:
- A brilliant design.

Part of a Great Family of Robot Vacs
on September 28, 2020
Posted by: Daddio
from Wesley Chapel, Florida
Robot Vacuums have been on the market for many years now and improvements over those years have eliminated many of the problems that plagued early designs. The days of low battery power, low “suction” power, unreliable navigation, inability to find or return to the charge base and uselessly small dust carrying compartments are long behind us. This year’s crop of vacuum robots like the iRobot Vacuum i3 from Roomba are designed to eliminate even more difficult problems. The i3 is not the most feature laden vacuum in the large family of Roomba cleaning robots, but unlike many in its entry-point competitors, it has VERY strong bones. By that I mean that compared to the several other brands I’ve owned, instead of beginning as a blank design with “economy” in mind, the i3 is built from essentially the same underframe, motor, battery sensors and high-quality materials as Roomba’s highest i9 model. It’s minus some of the esoteric features, BUT BOY CAN IT CLEAN! It’s the best vacuum robot I’ve ever owned when it comes to handling the edges of small throw rugs and loose electrical cords it might encounter. Instead of ingesting and choking until it’s stuck, it pauses, reverses its rollers to “spit out” the rag or carpet, backs away from the “problem” and then moves in a different direction to continue cleaning. It’s fascinating to watch. Unlike all of the other robot vacuums I’ve owned, this is the only one that is able to finish cleaning the house without calling me with an App or just a plaintive chime to get it unstuck. To me this is its #1 feature. I’ve included a couple of pictures of the i3 encountering the throw rug and rather untidy computer, router and Wi-Fi cables under my desktop computer. I had to block this area off from my old vacuums that would get stuck there EVERY time. The i3 just does the job carefully and moves on.
FEATURES:
- The aforementioned ability to avoid entanglement in cords or rug edges.
- Relatively high suction force.
- Creates a map of your floor plan and uses it (if necessary) to return to the exact spot it left off at (to return to the charger for about an hour), before it resumes cleaning the whole floorplan.
- Has improved infrared scanners and sensors so it can clean in (to our eyes) total darkness.
- Uses its sensors and software to clean in straight logical paths instead of bouncing from wall to wall like older robot vacuums.
- Easy to remove and clean the pick-up rollers if long pet hairs get wrapped around those rollers.
- The extra large dust-bin/charging station that sucks the dirt out of the robot at the end of every cleaning session can be purchased separately. This unit is standard with the i3+, i7 and i9 Roombas. Depending on how dirty the floors are, this dirt extracting station can allow the Roomba to operate for days or weeks autonomously without needing to be emptied after every session.
- 1-year limited warranty
INCLUDES:
- Charging station.
- Downloadable Android or iPhone App for monitoring or control of the i3.
PROS:
- Great cleaning ability
- Good Customer and Technical Support by phone to make up for poor User Manual.
- The ability to set up/pair with Google Home or Apple Siri through Bluetooth allows hands free control.
CONS:
- The User Manual does not offer much information beyond FCC and safe operation rules.
CONCLUSION:
A very capable robot vacuum that does the basics very well. It’s also somewhat upgradable since it can use accessories used with higher end Roomba models in the same family. I found that a call to their Technical Support can explain this quite well.

handcrafted latte from the comforts of my own home
on September 5, 2020
Posted by: Daddio
from Wesley Chapel, Florida
With us being home more, we were trying to find ways to cut back on our coffee shop habit. We’ve tried the small espresso machines before, but they just didn’t give us the same quality that we were hoping for, and we would quickly turn back to our trusty coffee shop. We decided to splurge and take a chance on the Breville Barista Pro, and we are so glad that we did. After some trial and error, some fine tuning, we were able to get the perfect latte from the comfort of our own home. Now we’ve become our own home baristas and hopefully it will save us some money in the long run!
FEATURES:
- Intuitive LCD interface
- Fast heat up time
- Adjustable Espresso bean burr grinder
- 19-22 gram dose for full flavor
- Precise espresso extraction
PROS:
- This is a sleek machine, it’s not bulky and really fits nicely in our kitchen.
- The LCD display is easy to read, crisp and gives you everything you need to make great espresso drinks.
- I was shocked at how fast this machine heated up and was ready to make my espresso. It’s new innovative ThermoJet heating system truly lives up to its name. It’s also quiet, which when you have little ones that still nap at home, that is truly a blessing.
- The integrated conical burr grinder takes the guess work out of measuring and. grinding your own beans. You can adjust the grind and amount to help you create your perfect cup, every time.
- Honestly I didn’t know what this was going in, but the 54mm porta-filter with 19-22 grams dose is the key to achieve full flavor and café quality coffee.
- The Digital Temperature Control delivers water at just the right temperature for optimal espresso extraction. It gradually increases the pressure at the start and helps ensure the flavors are drawn out through the end to help create a well-balanced cup.
CONS:
- Larger footprint on the kitchen counter than your standard coffee maker
- There is more cleaning involved, which isn’t awful, it’s just something to keep in mind as there are more moving parts.
- You do need to allow yourself the time to craft your cup, it’s not just a push of the button and walk away type machine. It is well worth it in the end though.
Conclusion:
If you’re looking for a coffee machine that offers more than just a drab pot of coffee, then indulge in the finesse of the Breville Barista Pro. I love creating a handcrafted latte from the comforts of my own home.

Lighter/Cooler Wearing Experience than Headphones
on August 4, 2020
Posted by: Daddio
from Wesley Chapel, Florida
I know, I know … I should go outside and play in the “fresh air”, but those who think video gaming is Candy-Crush might be surprised how physical an hours long session of relatively competitive co-op gaming can be. A lot of “Body-English” is involved. Room temperatures comfortable for family members sitting watching a movie can be sweat producing for “active” gamers. That type of player will appreciate the fact that just having light ear-buds and a tiny micro phone on a wire is much cooler and lighter than over-the-ear competitive earphones with a huge cushioned headband.
FEATURES:
- Bluetooth 5 decodes aptx/SBC Low-Latency Codex (Note: requires a Phone, tablet or console with Bluetooth 5 for lowest latency)
- Supports HSP/HFP/A2DP/AVRCP sound compression protocols.
- 11-hour battery life during use. 150-hour standby time
- Can be switched between 2 Sound Equalizer modes; “Gaming” with increased mid/hi frequencies for clear voice and spacial awareness and “Music” with amplified vocals and bass for enhanced music listening.
- 2-year limited warranty
INCLUDES:
- JLab Play Gaming Wireless Earbuds
- Travel Bag
- 5ft (1.524 m) AUX Console Cord with 3.5 mm male plug and volume control
- 10in (254 mm) USB-2 to Micro USB Charging Cable
- 4 Extra silicon ear tips (sizes large & small)
PROS:
- Low 60 ms latency on Bluetooth 5, effectively 0 ms latency while using 3.5 mm AUX cord
- Very easy to set up with clear instruction manual.
- The ability to set up/pair with OK Google or Siri through Bluetooth allows hands free telephone calling.
- Light .9 oz. (26 g) and cool.
CONS:
- Uses older style Micro USB rather than current USB-C for charging.
- Could use higher volume when played through AUX cable.
- The flat wire cable meant to drape around the back of the neck is too stiff and sometimes positions the earbud wires at awkward angles.
CONCLUSION:
These earbuds are not for highly competitive gaming, but they are fine for most users and provide a comfortable alternative to heavy gaming headphones. They are also good for everyday music, phone and podcast listening.

The three-piece kit makes it a no brainer, and this trio provides a solid base for your audio entertainment system. The 850QT is compatible with most TVs, not just Samsung, so you can elevate your overall theater experience seamlessly. Speaking of seamless, the 850QT is compatible with Alexa/Bluetooth so you can control hands-free and use the speakers beyond just the TV. Overall, a high-quality sound system with strong range and a lot of power.
Features:
- Bluetooth/Alexa pairing
- Able to mount on wall for cleaner look with included wall mount brackets
- Supported play formats: Dolby Atmos (True HD / Digital Plus), Dolby Digital, DTS Master Audio, DTS:X, DTS
PROS:
- Great, powerful sound that fills the room from every side and angle.
- Very easy to set up with clear instruction manual.
- The ability to set up/pair with Alexa and Bluetooth makes it more than your average TV speakers.
- Compatible with Non-Samsung TVs. No problem pairing with our Sony TV
- Kit of parts system that covers every audio need for a well-rounded sound
CONS:
As with any all-inclusive system, it’s everything or nothing which is actually both a pro or a con depending on how you look at it.
Conclusion:
If you are overwhelmed with the technicalities of the home theater system and want an all-in-one kit that has you covered with quality you can trust, go with the Samsung 850QT and you will not be disappointed. Fills the entire space with dimensional sound that will enhance your overall entertainment experience.

A high-end wireless gaming keyboard
on June 22, 2020
Posted by: Daddio
from Wesley Chapel, Florida
There was a time when no serious gamer would use wireless input devices. Logitech’s lightspeed wireless tech with little to no input lag makes choosing wireless peripherals a much easier choice for the modern gamer. Mechanical keyboards have been very popular in the past few years and the latest trend is the TKL or Ten Key-Less style the leaves off the number pad in the right side of the keyboard for a smaller footprint.
Features:
- Lightspeed wireless tech for almost zero noticeable input lag
- Bluetooth support
- Customizable RGB illumination
- Dual Angle Adjustment
- Rechargeable battery
- Small Footprint
PROS:
- Very small footprint with smooth round edges
- Good battery life IF you aren’t going nuts with the illumination on the keys. I got somewhere around 200 hours of wireless run time with all keys at 0 brightness and only about 35 hours with all keys at full brightness. Somewhere in between will get you around 100 hours per charge
- There's a pocket for the USB receiver right on the back of the keyboard. To be fair, this is a relatively common feature on wireless keyboards but it’s clearly labeled and VERY easy to access which is a nice touch
- Power switch moved to the top edge of the keyboard. This is way better than a switch on the bottom of the keyboard. This way you can turn it off without lifting the keyboard off the desk potentially getting dirt/oil on the brushed aluminum finish.
- RGB Illumination. It’s just so cool. It’s GREAT to download/create custom game profiles so that only the buttons that are used in the game are lit and can even be color coded.
CONS:
- Pricey. It’s a very good keyboard but at its price range, you have to be VERY happy with all the pros or it may not feel like a bargain
- The volume wheel feels cheap. The volume wheel on my old Gaming Keyboard felt great. It didn’t have a clicky feel to it but there was SOME resistance that made if feel like I had control over the volume. The wheel on the 915 has NO resistance and many times will continue to spin after I release my finger from it
- Micro-USB charging port. For upper price range the port should be USB-C. Charges faster and you never have the check the orientation of the cable.
- Brushed aluminum finish. If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times. STOP WITH THE BRUSHED ALLUMINUM FINISH! It is a dirt and oil magnet and since the keyboard is something that you are constantly touching, it always looks splotchy.
- Key Caps move around a bit. You can wiggle the key caps JUST a bit more than I would expect on a keyboard at this price point. They can be replaced, but they are not standardized so it could get pricey.
Conclusion:
It’s a really good keyboard if you like this style. It’s got a very small footprint, it’s very low profile with several angle adjustment options. The battery life is solid, the RGB illumination options are plentiful, and there is no input lag. If you are a gamer and you already have some of the other more meaningful upgrades like an ultrawide monitor, great graphics card, SSD, and you are looking for a really nice low profile RGB wireless keyboard, this is one of the best.

Sony’s New Noise Canceling Headphones
on May 28, 2020
Posted by: Daddio
from Wesley Chapel, Florida
Suddenly, many of us are working from home in a make-shift “Office” trying to communicate via Video Chat over a Laptop with a washing machine or kids nearby. This makes Noise Cancelling Headphones with Bluetooth connection like the Sony WH-CH710W model, a real growing consumer electronics segment. They can also help preserve our hearing when using noisy lawnmowers and other yard equipment. I ran my riding mower and found that the noise cancelling was very effective. I know I have a big head and maybe my ears are larger than average, because I found that after a few hours of constant use the back edges of my ears began to ache.
Features:
- 35 hours of Noise Cancelling use per charge.
- From very low battery state, 10 minutes of charging gives 1 hr. of use time.
- Hands Free Phone Calling.
- Volume and other controls on headset.
PROS:
- Relatively Compact and Lightweight (7.87 oz)
- Excellent Battery Life (35 hrs. of Noise Cancelling use claimed)
CONS:
- No AC Charger Included
- Earcups Interior Space Relatively Small
- No Carry-Case Included
Conclusion:
This is a good example of a product slightly sacrificing some specifications to hit a value price point. You can get better bass response and some features elsewhere, but the barely noticeable difference might not be worth the higher price of top end Head Phones. The Sony WH-CH710W Noise Cancelling Headphones are worth your consideration.

An Easier Crossover than I Expected
on February 5, 2020
Posted by: Daddio
from Wesley Chapel, Florida
My wife and I have been using a major competitor of H&R Block Tax Software for decades. Even though we have become increasingly disappointed with the direction that that software has taken, we felt that moving our previous year’s rather complicated tax data (multiple employed family members filing, multiple countries, multiple states, multiple retirement income, multiple IRAs and 401Ks, multiplr RMDs, equipment amortization, etc.) into another program like H&R Block Tax Software would involve hours of hand entry of old data into the new Tax program. That concern was alleviated immediately when I installed the H&R Block Deluxe Tax Software onto the same laptop that I used to do and save taxes with the other company’s software last year. After starting the H&R Block Tax Software up, the first page announced that it had found the saved files from another tax program. It displayed the names of those files as I had saved them and asked me if I wanted to integrate any or all of those into this year’s tax data. I said yes to all of them and within a few seconds the H&R Block Tax Software showed another page asking which family member’s tax return I wanted to start with. From that point on, as it guided me through the process it showed me the 2018 forms as they were saved by the previous tax software and asked me if I had a 1099, etc. from the same employer and if I did, it asked me for the values showing up in a specific boxes in 2019’s W-4s and 1099s. Because of H&R Block Tax Software’s ability to find and use the other tax software’s saved files, it shortened the process to 10-15 minutes per filing.
With decades in the tax preparing business, I naturally expected H&R Block to be able to help me prepare my taxes but in my particular case, what was most impressive was how easy the transition was from the other software was.
Features:
• Imports tax data from other tax preparation software.
• Clear Step-by-step instructions
• One personal state program download included
• Guidance on maximizing mortgage interest
• Accuracy checks for issues and assesses audit risk
• Itemizes deductions with Schedule A
• Free live product help via chat or telephone
PROS:
- This software is produced by a company that has been doing tax preparing for decades so you know they have experience and knowledge.
CONS:
- Since I control my tax liabilities pretty tightly during the year and don’t overly withhold, I never get a refund. Because of this, even H&R Block can’t magically make filing my taxes “FUN” ; )
Conclusion:
This “Deluxe” version of H&R Block Tax Software is sufficiently for most of us. If you are also responsible for a business or are self-employed, you may need one of the more comprehensive premium versions.

Does this work with Time Warner

In my area north of Tampa, Time Warner became Bright House and is now Spectrum. If your area had the same progression of name changes and buy-outs, it should work as it does here for Spectrum.

how long will this run with a wifi modem and router plugged into it?

The APC Pro 1350VA would be overkill for such a relatively tiny load of one Wi-Fi Modem and one typical Router. As the model number implies this UPC can output 1350 Volt Amps. If your devices have a wattage listed, you can take the volts (probably 120) and see how many times your device's amps divide into that number. If you purchase one of APS's models in this line (they range from 1100 VA to 1500 VA), the included software run on a PC will tell you how long the UPS will output 120 volts when your Wi-Fi Modem and Router are actually plugged in and under load. It will probably be several hours. As an example the power consumption of my home theater is fairly high. It includes a 75” TV, an Xbox One X, a Denon AVR-S730H Receiver pushing a 5.2.2 Surround system, a Western Digital NAS and a 10” and a 15” Powered Woofer. When plugged in to the UPS and under load, the PC program tells me it can maintain that load from the battery for 45 minutes.

Bring the sounds of the movies to your home with these Sony Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers. The compact size fits neatly on top of your existing tower speakers for an easy way to upgrade your sound system. Mica-reinforced cellular cones reduce distortion, while the MDF cabinets absorb vibrations for better playback. These Sony Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers offer surround sound capabilities for an immersive listening experience.

Hi, Can these be used on their own (without other speakers) for sound for a small room?

They certainly can be used for sound in small room, but they are designed in such a way that placing them in a way that doesn't aim the sound towards the ceiling is awkward. Using them alone would not give you "Atmos" sound, but having their sound traveling to the ceiling and reflecting downwards without being timed and controlled by an Atmor decoding audio receiver, might give you a weaker or slightly echoing effect, depending on the shape of your listening room.

These Insignia sport headphones feature inline controls so you can adjust the volume or take a call with ease.

Why does the light on my earphones turn purple and not connect to my phone anymore via Bluetooth? They were charging and stuff but aren't connecting

The flashing purple/blue LED on your earbuds is only telling you that the earbuds are ready and TRYING to pair (connect) with anything within range that can potentially pair with. Turn on the Bluetooth Pairing function of your phone and see if your phone can see/recognize your earbuds. Sometimes Bluetooth devices can only connect with each other if both of them are in the active seeking mod.

Add music to your day with these Sony wireless headphones. Their noise cancelling technology uses artificial intelligence to adapt to your environment and reduce background sounds for enjoyable listening. The Quick Charging battery on these over-ear Sony wireless headphones provides up to 35 hours of playback for convenience.

I said I have an ipod with a cord and asked if I could fit it in headphones that are wireless or cordless but you said the cord would fit in I'm asking would the ipod fit in the headphones by itself without connecting cords

If the model iPod you have is capable of broadcasting in Bluetooth, then you do not need the provided mini-jack cord. However, if your iPod does not connect/pair to other devices the way that smart phones do, then you will have to use the cord to get the signal into the Headphones.

Is the Sony better than the Bose quiet ll When it come s to noised

I THINK you're asking about the Noise Reduction feature. I have Bose Quiet Comfort 35 II Headphones and the Sony WH-CH700N Headphones. Using them while cutting grass or leaf blowing, I find that the Bose reduces a much wider frequency of sounds and gives you a cleaner version of the sound you want to hear (Podcast, Music, Etc.) at the same time. I found that when using the Sony I had to adjust the Podcast's volume much higher than I wanted to, to hear the Podcast voices over the lawnmower noise. It should be considered though that the Bose Quiet Comfort 35 is MUCH more expensive than the Sony WH-CH700N. You get what you pay for.

What I the weight?

The original Sony packing box that my Sony - 75" Class 900E came in, says the Gross weight is "47 Kg" on the side. That's 104 lbs. in real measurement. The actual
TV is a few pounds lighter and if you're wondering what it's like to lift it up to mount it on the wall, Two old retired fogies (my neighbor and I) were able to lift it into the wall mount bracket with no problem.

I am considering buying the 75" 900e. Is the internet required? I really don't want a Smart TV, or really a connection to the internet. I only want the TV to watch regular Direct TV channels, Netflix, and a Blue Ray that plays videos and DVDs. Thank you

Like you, the "Smart TV" features were of no interest to me as I turned my Sony - 75" Class (74.5" Diag.) - LED - 2160p - Smart - 4K Ultra HD TV with High Dynamic Range on for the first time. That meant I had to plow through dozens of screens asking me to enter my google account (I don't have one) and other information to access the Smart features. After a few minutes of that I managed to get to the end of the set-up process and it hasn't asked me again since. I would recommend though that if you can, you should hook the TV up to the internet just once. That way you can receive the inevitable TV software operating system "Updates" that are sometime needed to make the TV operate properly. It's just the way it is nowadays. Because they expect "everyone" to have access to the internet, manufacturers are more willing to ship new products that really aren't fully tested or developed. As you know, it takes months for some of them to get from the factory to the home, so getting it on the water as fast as possible seems like a more important thing that perfecting the software. I also think they use the early adopters of models to do quality testing for them. If enough of us complain of some operating problem, they can make the change and send it to us over the internet later.

With a very fast internet connection, it still took about five minutes or so for my Sony 900E to update before fully operating for the first time. It was worth it though. It's a great TV.

Tilt or extend your television for maximum viewing enjoyment with this Sanus Advanced Tilt TV wall mount. Able to support up to 150 pounds of weight, this mount can easily handle flat screen televisions up to 90 inches. Click, lock and release on this Sanus Advanced Tilt TV wall mount let you find a viewing angle and secure it.

The find a mount search indicates this is a proper mount for my Panasonic TCP58VT25. The TV user manual shows a 500x300 VESA pattern, but this doesn't show as supported under the mount specs. Am I just misunderstanding the specs? Please clarify.

As with most TV mounts, this one has plenty of mounting options to accommodate a wide range of TV makes and sizes. On the vertical axis there are multiple slots and holes in the brackets to line up with the vertical distance between the mounting holes on hundreds of TV makes, models and sizes. On the horizontal axis, the two vertical rails once mounted to the TV, can hook anywhere on the wall mount hook-rail. The only limitation is if the width between the rails once mounted on the TV can't be greater than the width of the section of the mount screwed to the wall. That is why there are limits to how big a TV each make and model TV Wall Mount can handle. This one goes up to 100" class TVs. This mounting system comes with a large variety of screws and plastic spacers to cope with the variety of TVs. A TV manufacturer would have to work very hard to deliberately design the hole pattern on the back of their TV that this mounting system can't accommodate. It fit my 75" Sony Bravia 900E perfectly.

Where is this TV manufactured?

The label on my 75" 900E's box says it was manufactured in Mexico.
