So far so good after small issue

Setup in Raid 1 to backup my movie/audio files. Have plugged into a Mycloud Mirror so i can access anywhere which works great. However, after copying over about 6tb of data, i had one of the drives LED change to red. And this was a few days after the initial transfer and accessing the files through Plex with no issues. I did a rebuild which took about 14 hours, and all has been well for about 3 weeks now so hopefully it stays that way!

Does this include two hard drives in it or is it just and enclosure for 2 hard drives?
It is 2, 8 TB drives. You can setup through the software in Raid 0 which will show on your PC as a single 16TB drive, or Raid 1, which mirrors the drives (shows as one 8 TB drive on your PC) and makes the drives exact duplicates so if one fails, you replace it and it will re mirror from the other good drive. Raid 0 good for space, Raid 1 great for backing up photos and anything else you absolutely do not want to lose if a drive fails.

High failure rate? Other issues?
This drive appears to be discontinued. I could not find it on WD's website. Anybody have the 411 on this?
ive have 2 of them. one for a few months, just got a second one. after taking a chance on a couple seagates, both of which died within 6 months losing tons of data, i am sticking with WD. have some external WD's that have been on 24/7 for 3-4 years now, still working great
