GOOD SOUND WITH A CAVEAT

I installed this with a lg plasma tv. I am hard of hearing and I wanted better sound. I also got the rear surround sound speakers. I hooked it up with the digital output connection. I had to change the output to PCM which loses some of the true surround sound. The sound is much better than the tv sound and I am able to hear it better. Aesthetically my wife liked it as it is small and matches our black bedroom set.

does this have a good volume?
It has excellent volume with a optical connection to my LG plasma. I also have the rear speakers which really fill the room with sound.
