I've had the tv now for over 6 months. It has about the best quality picture of any LED tv I've seen in a well lit room. Unfortunately, in a dark room the local dimming does not work very well. In an attempt to keep dark areas of the screen near black (which it does well) the light areas of the screen end up having a large halo glow around them because they just cannot keep up with the large contrast between white pixels and black pixels. It's very distracting when watching the tv in the dark or with dimmed lights. I had the Geek Squad come and try different settings but to no avail. The only suggestion was to turn off the local dimming (which does fix the halo problem) but that rids the tv of its good black levels. The tv then never goes black where it needs to, just has a grey inferior looking picture. The local dimming is an added feature to improve the quality so I have no idea why you would turn it off anyway.
Other features of the tv work well. Easy to navigate between smart features like Netflix when connected to the internet. The remote creates a mouse like feature on the tv which you can control with the motion of your hand. Very simple.
So only solution is to watch this tv with some lights on. I dim lights to about 40-50% and it still looks good. In bright rooms the tv looks excellent. The exterior of the tv looks good mounted on wall with very thin edge in silver.
I also bought a Sony 43" X800D at the same time. I watch it in my bedroom at night all the time. Picture looked perfect straight out of the box in dim or bright room. I'd go with a Sony or splurge for the LG OLED.

Good Sound

The sound quality out of this speaker and wireless sub is excellent especially for the price. My brother wants one now. The 4.1 provides a little surround sound effect without adding any extra speakers. Its silver finish and size looks nice with my silver 55" LG TV. I had trouble connecting wirelessly with the tv with the wifi connection. It worked, but only 3 out of for 4 times when turning on the tv. So 1 out of 4 times when turning it on, I had to go into the settings and reconnect it. That got a little annoying so I decided to hard wire it with the optical cable. Works everytime now! I have had it for over 6 months now. Just recently started having the stereo sound drop out for a second or two. Has only happened twice. It pops right back on so haven't figured out the issue.

Just what I need

My tv is still hanging on the wall after 7 months so I'm pretty pleased. Sturdy piece of equipment. Only complaint is that the tv does not lock into place on the slide that allows it to move left and right. So when plugging and unplugging cables on side of tv the tv tends to move back forth and then I have to go back and recenter it. I'm sure there is a way to fix the issue with a little MacGyvering but it hasn't been too much of an issue.

I've had this router for over 6 months now and it's the most trouble free router I've ever owned. In the past I've usually had to reset my routers here and there when things won't connect. Never once have I had to do that with this one! I have a small house, so I can't speak for extended range, but I have full coverage anywhere in my house. Speed is adequate for anything I've tried: internet video streaming, apple tv, 4k netflix, etc.
