I got this mainly to take with me when I'm doing outdoor photography, so it has to take rough conditions at times. So far it's working out good. Don't really care for the trigger grip and rubber wheel, takes a little bit to get use to it but once I have it in position it'll lock in place. Would have been nice if it came with a carrying case/bag.

Great starter for beginning DSLR

After using P&S type cameras for several years I finally took the plunge into DSLR, and I just love it. The only drawback is that unlike most of my previous P&S cameras, this type of camera requires a steady hand and is a little harder to hold steady, definitely need a tripod for some types of shots - especially for macro and distance shots. It takes a little practice but when I get it right the pictures are incredible. The shutter noise can be a bit loud, and I do love taking nature shots, especially close ups of wild animals.
