This is a very handy and powerful hand vacuum, as you'd expect with the Dyson logo. We use it regularly for spot cleanup and corner cleaning with our pugs hair. Is it perfect? No. It has a short battery life, blows air straight back at the user, and is a little expensive. If it broke today, I'd shop other models from Dyson to see if some of these issues are handled better. If they aren't, I'd replace it as is with the same model. So not 5 stars, but satisfied with or purchase.

I've owned several Roomba's in my day, but this is the first 'real' robot vacuum I've owned now that I've had it. We have a single story home, all solid surface minus a couple floor rugs, and two pugs. This robot thus far has flawlessly vacuumed our entire house better than I would do by hand, with one caveat I'll get to in a minute.
The Good:
Vacuums with a very organized and efficient pattern. Kind of like how a human mows the lawn. None of this random roaming and zig zagging aimlessly. It maps the entire home and goes over everything it can get to room by room.
Has the largest dust bin I've seen in a robot vacuum - No need to empty half way through a session, even with our pugs hair - if you keep up with it regularly (every few days) Lots of suction - this is a VACUUM Doesn't bang into things but senses their presence, slows, and gently pushes up against them to get to the edge. Returns to its base and charges itself without error
The Not So Good: The one wart this unit has is that it doesn't get under kitchen cabinet faces very well due to its height profile. All our other furniture is fine, but once a week or so we need to sweep under the edges of the counters.
The loan caveat warranted a half a star in my opinion, but since I can't rate that way I have to choose the closest and 5 star is the better rating. Would I buy it again if it broke? This afternoon....immediately... Its a game changer for those with pets and keeping up with dander, dust, and hair.
