I got this air fryer because my brother had one that cost him triple what this one cost. When he cooked pizza rolls and some other things for us I knew I had to get one. Usually I regret not going with the high priced versions of appliances and other things but this fryer is perfect. No discernable difference between it and my brothers $300+ priced brand.

Better than I expected

I had read several reviews describing a "strong burning plastic smell" that lasted for the first several days of operation, but I did not experience any such "strong smell." There was a faint "new" smell (as I would describe it, more accurately) but it did not last long at all- less than 24 hrs. Performance-wise, you can certainly feel/breathe the difference after only about an hour of running this at the maximal setting. Also, the max setting is not as loud as I expected, but it is certainly louder than the nearly silent lower settings. I'm very pleased with this purchase.
