I was unfamiliar with the source material that this film is based upon, so going into the film I had no preconceived ideas about the movie. After watching the film, I have to admit that I was impressed. The story was engaging. The acting was good. The action sequences were good. The look of the film though is what stole the show. This is a film that greatly benefits from high definition. This movie is demo worthy. The picture and audio are excellent. The extras are very good. Overall I would highly recommend this film.

Kong Skull Island is a fresh take on a familial movie property that actually gets it right. The film begins at the end of WWII, and then the story picks up at the end of the Vietnam war. The film centers around an expedition team whom several of its members have hidden agendas as to why they are there. The story is pretty straight forward, what you would expect from a monster movie. The monsters are what you came to see and they do not disappoint. The CGI is flawless. It is truly amazing to see the jungle scenes and all of the different creatures blended seamlessly together. The video and audio are top notch, while the special features are pretty decent as well. If you are looking for a demo worthy disc with a pretty decent story with a lot of action, I would highly recommend this movie

I am a huge Star Wars fan. The original trilogy is the benchmark for modern sci-fi films. The prequel films were not quite on par with the original trilogy, however, not as bad as some believe. Episode VII was a fantastic addition in the continuing saga. Having said all of that, Rogue One is the start of spin off Star Wars films. Although the majority of the characters are new, the story begins just prior to the events of episode IV. This story deals with a band
of rebels attempting to steal the plans to the Death Star. This spin off film is one of my favorite films in the Star Wars saga. Although it definitely is a Star Wars movie, it is also more of a military movie as well. The new characters, the action, the special effects, were all spectacular. As far as the blu-ray is concerned, this is one of Disney's finest. Like most modern films, the picture is almost perfect and the sound is as well. There are some pretty decent special features as well. I would highly recommend this movie as an addition to anyone's collection.

Having read, as well as watched all of the Harry Potter films, I wasn't all that excited to see a spin off of Harry Potter. After watching Fantastic Beasts, I am pleased to say that I am glad that J.K. Rowling and co., found a way to expand the windsurfing world. The story has a few familiar characters from the previous stories, but is primarily a new story about Newt and his accidental release of some creatures. This new story is a little darker, and more grown up, but still has all the charm that any Harry Potter fan has come to enjoy. The blu- ray boasts a very impressive video and audio presentation, along with some decent supplements. Overall, this is an impressive blu-ray, as well as a great beginning to what should be another enjoyable journey into the Harry Potter universe.

I am not much of a gamer, but I am somewhat familiar with the game on which this film is based. Although there is some background details, I feel that more background information, as well as more character development would have helped the film. Having said that, I was still impressed with the story, as well as the acting and action. The fight sequences were very exciting, and well choreographed. The direction of the film was very visually stunning. The video and audio are excellent. There are also a handful of decent extras. Overall, this is a great blend of both sci-fi, and action, making for a pretty decent movie. This movie would make a great addition to any collection.

Although not as good as the first "Reacher" film, this was still a good action/thriller. If you are a fan of, and read the novels, you will find that this film sticks closely to the novel it is based upon. The picture and audio are excellent. The supplements are pretty standard, although pretty decent. Overall, if you are a "Reacher" fan, I would recommend this film.

If you grew up in the 80's, or are familiar with some of the nostalgia associated with the decade, you will enjoy this movie. Not only was it funny, it also has a great soundtrack, good performances, and excellent visuals. Overall a great film.

In my opinion, this was not only the best action movie of the summer, but one of the best action movies ever. From the first scene of the movie, until the closing credits, it is non stop action. The action choreography was phenomenal. The soundtrack was awesome. The acting was great. This is a must own movie. I highly recommend this. You won't be disappointed.
