There are a lot of options out there for SMART BULBS or even
Bluetooth enabled bulbs , each with pros and cons.
I bought the Phillips based on user reviews and have to say I am quite impressed. I downloaded the app from the Google Play Store and paired it with the Bridge that comes with this kit. Each bulb in the box will have to be updated on the app. After the update I can control everything on my smart phone or tablet while sitting in my Theater Chair without having to get up. Works Perfect.

I was able to pick this item up for half the price during BF sale.
I was on the fence spending full price but jumped when I was able to pick it up on sale. This player is for all intent purpose just a 4K bluray player and because 4K is still a growing media market... prices have been pretty inflated. This SONY player is well built and should last over time until the Market switches to 8K which should be awhile. Aesthetically this player is larger than most DVD , Blu-ray Players on the market but will fit most consoles no problem. I have enjoyed watching movies paired with my 4K TV, which is needed in order to get TRUE 4K from any 4K bluray disc. It's worth the purchase but feel that had I payed full price I might be kicking myself for doing so.

4K players and manufactures of such are slim pickings at the time of this post. I did a lot of research in what was available and what was the best choice on the market.
SONY has always been known for their quality build of products. Sometimes it's a hit or miss on functionality however. So I didn't just jump at the sight of a SONY 4K player being introduced to the market. I went through many review sites and even read up on some actual Customer reviews before pulling the trigger on this SONY UP970 4K UHD Player. SONY has always been more expensive on consumer electronics than the other manufactures out there and as a person on a budget I typically wait until items go on SALE. Grabbed this one on Cyber Week for 150.00 and that hit the sweet spot for my wallet. This machine is basic in design but I found that all players on the market are designed about the same. Playback of 4K movies is smooth and user friendly. All players are not created equal and you get what you pay for. This machine comes equipped with limited smart features such as Wifi connection 3D playback of standard Blu-ray movies and has Netflix , Amazon and Youtube apps already onboard, but that's about it. Other players on the market may or may not have these features. Be sure to research what best works for you. I am happy with my purchase and those who can grab it at this sale price should be satisfied as well.

This movie on the surface was hard for me to keep up with.
I had to watch it a second time to grasp what was going on and why I should care. It's written in a way that makes you try and keep up with the wit and action all in the same sequence. The visual presentation is a sight to behold and having this on a 4K display will just wow the senses even more. Try this one out , it's a great Sci Fi movie and one I hope spawns a sequel.

20 hours into this game and It keeps calling me back.
This game is hard and by saying that I mean it's hard in every way.

This game raised the bar on Horror genre games and I'll have to say this is way better than the original but it's also a lot harder to to complete. Challenge make this game fun, but a bit frustrating and I wouldn't recommend this game for children. It's full of gore and language but most horror flicks are. This game is worth a play through if you can make it through.

So being a huge fan of DC comics and their characters picking up this game was a no brainer for me.
Those familiar with the Mortal Kombat franchise will find themselves right at home with what Injustice 2 brings to the table.
Being that this is a sequel to what has already been a well received original I went in guns blazing. I love all the new characters they added and bringing back the original DC universe characters only to have them fight each other is just FUN. Serious fun. My only wish is DC would give full control of this property to the guys making this game and the possibilities would be endless of adding in the Mortal Kombat characters and the FINISH HIM moves.

I'm a huge fan of the original and sequels always have me thinking no way can the catch lightning in a bottle again.
But very few movies can say the sequel is better than the original and GotG 2 is one of those rare movies that is just that.
Perfect in every way, Sound effects , visual presentation , one heck of a music soundtrack , Story telling , every thing works.
Seriously if you want a movie that = time well spent and leaves you with a smile on your face, Grab this movie.

I thought this movie would be good based on the trailers and the star power which is Tom Cruise. Instead I found myself wondering why ? Why did this movie even get green lit. It just wasn't thought out very well and the presentation leaves one wondering... What did I just watch.
No i'm not being too harsh, this movie is a hot mess. Maybe good for a rental but not something I could recommend to anyone or at least anyone that I like.

Marvel teams up with Sony to bring Spider-man to the MCU ( marvel cinematic universe) By doing so they can now share license and story arc the character with the well established ( DISNEY ) Avenger's movies. Spider-man has always been a fan favorite and this movie has a lot of the Disney Magic that makes the MCU work so well. Having IRON MAN with Spider-Man in the same movie what's not to like. Seeing Michael Keaton back in movies is just icing on top of the cake. This movie is very well written and Tom Holland brings spark back to the character Peter Parker and of course Spider-man. Pick this one up you won't be disappointed.

I among many people thought this was a sequel or prequel to the Peter Jackson 2005 remake of King Kong.
Instead I was pleasantly surprised to find out this is a brand new take on the KONG character. Unlike previous KONG installments this KONG is freaking HUGE instead of climbing a sky scraper this KONG is as tall as one. The movie is very fast paced and KONG turns out to be very angry with Humans for the destruction of his Island. He seeks out revenge to end them all. This movie will no doubt spawn many more follow ups in this new retelling of a iconic favorite. Highly recommended.

Will these bulbs work with 220v energy? Thanks
uh... 220v outlets are used mostly for Laundry Dryers.
I'm not sure of any home using 220v for lighting or any store bought electronic device.
These work of a standard 110v using a A19 edison fixture.
If you do have 220v running in your house I couldn't imagine your electric bill monthly

when playing a 4k movie my horizsonal bars are redesh but when playing a blue ray they are black is there a reason for that
Try replacing your HDMI cable to a 2.2 or 2.2a compliant cable.
There is a new standard when it comes to 4K content that only works with those type HDMI cables.
So if you have a HDMI cable from 2 years ago... well you will see all kinds of problems when playing back 4K content.

I just bought this DVD player today and in the initial setup it was fine. Now this evening I turn it on and all the TV screen says is invalid format. Any suggestions I would appreciate.
Make sure the HDMI cable you are using is HDMI 2.2 compliant.
Make sure if your are using a 4K TV you go into the TV options and set the TV setting to accept 4K pass through from the Player to the TV
Make sure your TV supports more than 1 HDMI input that is 2.2 compliant. If only 1 input is compliant you will need to switch your cable to that input.
Make sure you are using a USA region Bluray Disc. Not all Blu-ray disc are Region Free meaning if you bought something on the internet and had it shipped from overseas... possible you are using a Region Locked Bluray disc.

Why can't my new LG UP970 4K ultra HD player play regular blu ray discs on a regular 1080 HD TV (non 4K TV)?
Most likely you are using a old standard HDMI cable.
Try looking for a 2.2 hdmi cable.
All 4K players require the new standard 2.2a HDMI out connection.
The HDMI going into the display or AVR does not have to be 2.2 compatible to receive the signal but the player sending it does.

Will this work with a HD projector? 1080P
Any projector that uses a HDMI 2.2 out will be able to play a 4K movie using a 4K UHD player
The problem with many projectors and the way they label them is kinda confusing.
When you say a HD 1080p projector I assume you mean will you be able to watch regular Blu-ray disc using this player on your projector.
The answer is yes.
However if you want to watch a UHD 4K disc on a projector that can only output 1080p
This player or any player will downscale the image to 1080p format.
True 4K projectors will cost you a lot of money right now but there are other options if you are thinking about upgrading.
There are some projectors on the market that can Pixel Shift and upscale the image from a 4K UHD disc to give you near 4K quality.
The Epson 5040ub was the 1st affordable projector on the market but other manufactures are starting to follow suit.
Look for those options if you are thinking about upgrading.. if not then again YES your projector will pair just fine with this player and display 1080p no problem.
