I was born a little too late for the original series. Being born in the late 70's I missed the originals by a few years, but this new series has been great and War is no exception. It isnt as good as Rise and Dawn but is still a must see of you are fan of the originals or the new series. Any series that is being rebooted can take a page from this series. It shares similarities with the original 5 moives but has its own original story that doesn't damage the legacy of the original series.

There is nothing really wrong with the game. Myers and Freddy are cool additions, though i was missinformed when ordering the game. I was told by a sales associate at best buy that the game had single player and that was the only reason I got it. If you like oline play only then this is for you. But if not dont buy because it has no single player.

One of the worst Mario games ever

When it was announced that this game would be in the stlye of Mario 64 and Sunshime I was excited, however it is NOT anything like those games. The game is too easy, dying has little consequence. You dont have lives. When you die you loose a few coins. Making dying feel like no big deal. The moons you collect (insted of stars) are too easy to get and there are too many of them. Other Mario games like 64 and Sunshine limited the # of stars (or moons in Mario Odesy) making you feel like you accomplised somthing and there was a task you had to complete to earn it. Now all you have to do is find it in most cases. Some are hidden many or not. It makes collecting moons as hard as collecting coins in other Mario games. The boss fights are repetitive you will fight the same boss in the same manner multiple times. New enemies are added but are out of place. The evil rabbits that are thrown in dont make any sense. Bowsers kids made sense, these rabbits don't and add nothing to the story and just take up game time untill you get to Bowser. The final fight with Bowser is the same fight you had at the begining on the game and is only slightly harder than the 1st encounter. I dont like saying bad things about a Mario game, but i was completly disapointed with this entry and would only recommend it If you are getting it for a child new to Mario games then maybe if it is on sale. For those who have grown up with Mario like i have. I would NOT recommend. Hopfully we will not have to wait until Nintendo comes out with the successor to the Switch before they will try again with anothet Mario game.

When pre ordering this, do you get the free stick of truth download like on psn?
Yes. I got a free copy of the 1st South Park Game The Stick of Truth. It is included as a code on an insert. Just go to the PSN shop and enter the code. Im not sure if this is a pre order only thing. It was on the cover on the box art in the bottom middle. Never looked at a shelf copy to see if it was included in all copies or a pre order only. ( I preordered the game).
