Love the Look and Options....But..

I like the slender look and the different fashion band options for the Alta. Also the reminder to get up and move after sitting for an hour is nice, we have all got deep into our work and got up with cramps from sitting too long. This Fitbit helps curb that.
Very easy to set up, even when i have my other fitbit connected to my devices.
It's limitations are activation of the clock face, it takes "quite a few" taps on the face to get the display to come up (quite a few=3 or 4 taps). So far it seems to be getting all my steps although a bit of adjustment when the Alta doesn't count stairs and my charge did. I have yet to be able to hook up the caller Id feature it is suppose to have.
Otherwise it's a nice upgrade from the Charge for which there was no replacement bands.

Great way to get a person motivated

Since I have gotten my Fitbit for Christmas I have found its a great motivator to get up and moving. Especially the challenges, I just wish they had more than the same ol four challenges a person can do each week against friends and other fitbit users. Easy to set up once you get the fitbit to sync, (the sync part is the hardest part I felt to get done)

Does it read heart rate or is it compatible with a heart rate monitor?
The Alta does not have a heart rate monitor option on it.
