A worthy robot vac for the price

I've been using robot vacuums for nearly 10 years and have had models from most major brands. This Shark Ion Robot vacuum may not equal the "big boys" of robo-vacs for suction or smarts, but it really hits a sweet spot between features, functions and price.
This model came with an infrared remote control that can be used to start/stop an auto-clean cycle, do a spot clean, command it to return to the dock (nice!) and schedule regular cleaning. The dock is reliably found and easily charges the bot for the next clean.
We have a dog that sheds a bit, so we try to vacuum a few times a week to keep things free of dog hair. So far, I've had it to do our master bedroom and bathroom a few times completely unattended. It reliably cleaned both rooms and returned to the dock afterwards.
The remote control is used to schedule when you'd like it to automatically undock and clean. All programming is done on the remote itself and then transmitted to and stored in the robot. I like being able to program the remote while seated elsewhere versus having to do it on the actual robot. However, the text on the display is rather small and difficult to read. It worked well, but a clearer display would be nice.
The robot did clean quite well; judging from the dirt in the bin afterwards. The brush roller and vac opening are on the smaller side for a robot vac, but the twin spinning brushes seem to guide the dirt toward the opening well enough.
The navigation is mostly random and set patterns with a bit of sensor and bump logic to keep it going. Not quite as fancy as the (much more expensive) models that have laser or optical guidance systems but it seems to have gotten everything clean, so no problem there.
You get on-board scheduling with an infrared remote control, a dock to charge it, barrier strips to keep it out of areas that don't need vacuuming, and a good warranty.
Overall, a nice robo-vac for the money!

The braided cable and substantial strain relief at each end makes for a tough and attractive charging cable for your Apple Watch. The end that couples with the watch is a tad larger in diameter and thicker than the first-party version, so beware if you plan to embed that end in something like a dock or stand. If you mainly just rest your watch on it, or use your watch in "Night Stand" mode, this cable will work great.
A cable like this needs to do one thing well - charge your watch, and it satisfies that requirement without issue. The rest is aesthetics and cable length. I'm not sure that one needs a Kevlar cable for their watch charger, but if you do, this has it and will probably take a beating and keep on charging.

I love watching movies on my LG OLED 4k 3D TV, but usually have to decide between the 3D (upscaled to 4K) or the 2D in native UHD. This boxed set includes both, so I can watch the amazing 3D presentation or the rich details and deep colors of the UHD version.

Overall, the video and audio presentation isn't bad, but I wouldn't say it's terribly improved over the BD (1080p) version of the films. If you already own these movies on Blu-ray, you can skip the UHD bundle. If you have a choice of BD or UHD, get the UHD anyway.

I use it every few days and have had no issues with the device or the app. I do feel more calm after a session, but that could be a similar effect as just closing one's eyes and meditating without the device. Being a gadget geek, I like the idea of something techie to help me meditate, though. Battery life is great, the app works, but it's sometimes distracting to hear the audio feedback that my mind is wandering when I don't think that it is, but the feedback causes it to wander further.

I upgraded from the Kevo to this because I wanted access to the lock feature when not in Bluetooth range. The August connect for an extra $50 is essential. Kevo will have something similar but with an annual fee if/when it comes out. Overall, a very convenient home automation product. Would be nice if it had a few more options like the ability to automatically unlock or stay unlocked when in BT range.
