We bought this model after going through two Maytags in the last 10 years. It's definitely the quietest washer we've ever owned. There are more options than I think we would ever use. The controls are easy to understand and knobs operate smoothly.

Finish your laundry easily with this 7.2 cu. ft. GE electric dryer. Its auto-dry setting provides efficient operation, and it has four heat selections to choose from for appropriate drying of different fabrics. Extend the tumble time for delicate clothing with the wrinkle care function of this GE electric dryer.
How much wall clearance does this dryer need? Also how long does it take to dry a full capacity load?
Mine is about 4 inches from the wall. Just enough to allow the exhaust tube to flow straight out the back and through the wall. The exhaust hole for my dryer is in the wall directly behind it at the same level as the exhaust tube exiting the dryer. Basically you just need enough room behind the dryer to allow the exhaust tubing.

washer with no pile of water?
i have seen washers when its loaded and on..it would have a pile of water in it...but my Whirlpool - 4.0 Cu. Ft. 10-Cycle Washer Model: WTW5100VQ just spins and there no pile of water in it...but my clothes are all wet.

Fill takes to long
Any reason why the fill takes so long before it starts to wash, also it fills and then it starts flashing and I have to hit the start button again to start the wash.
Mine does not take long to fill, maybe a water pressure issue or a blockage in your fill hoses? Also, manual says the light will flash if the cycle is paused(press start to start, press start again to pause, light blinks, press start to resume).
