I don't often buy "extended warranties"; but I have seen too many iPads and iPhones (and other non-Apple devices) damaged beyond repair. Just the nature of the beast. I like that Apple is standing behind its products like this.

Turns iPad into a laptop

The keyboard works well and meets my basic specifications. I would like to have seen a keyboard that affords a little more protection for the iPad. But I have seen iPads damaged in hard cases; so I guess taking care is the real answer. The one improvement I would like to see is for the keyboard to open up without feeling like I am refolding a map.

To create an iPad this huge, no detail was too small. From the way images are brought to life to its considerable versatility, it was pushed every aspect of what's possible with iPad to advanced heights. The end result, unmistakable the moment you begin using it, goes beyond a larger display. Unlike anything before it, iPad Pro is a far bigger experience.

Laptop Replacement

There is much discussion about the 12.9 being too large for convenience. My goal was to replace my laptop with a more convenient overall form factor. The iPad Pro 12.9 and the keyboard purchased separately meet my specifications. The screen resolution is very sharp and text is very easy to read--even when a small font is selected. The unit fits in my briefcase without taking a lot of room and is very light. I hardly know its there. I especially love that I don't need to wait for it to boot up. Taking photos is a bit clumsy due to the form factor; but taking photos isn't a priority with the iPad. I have an iPhone 7 for that. Overall, a solid performer at a fair price.
