The complete twelfth season of The CW fantasy drama Supernatural is featured in this multidisc set. Andrew Dabb and Robert Singer take over show-running duties, continuing to follow the Winchester brothers' (Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles) as they hunt down paranormal beings. Supernatural is the longest running fantasy series in North America.
Shout seems to be backsliding regarding its complete series sets of "TV Land" sitcoms; the extras are minimal, there is no accompanying booklet with an essay or two and episode synopses; it further seems that they are cramming more eps on each disc and overlapping the discs in a manner that makes getting them tougher also while making them more prone to scratches.
Frankly, the show itself is not great, I primarily got it to have every "Mus See" NBC Thursday night series out on DVD.
The complete third season of The CW superhero series The Flash, following Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and his blinding speed as he continues to ward off enemies in Central city. All 23 episodes of the third season are included, as well as bonus features and deleted scenes.
The three original seasons of the cult hit Arrested Development follow the more-than-slightly eccentric Bluth family through the ups and downs of having a patriarch who is incarcerated, teenage growing pains, dating, career exploration, and the many foibles of marriage. Among the series' stars include Jason Bateman, David Cross, and Portia De Rossi.
Being able to "marathon," rather than binge watch these series by having these CW hero sets is great fun. Futrther, they look and sound wonderful in Blu-ray, and the Comic Con panels always are fun.
The movie itself looks spectacular in Blu-ray. The story and every other aspect shine further in contrast to the literally vastly overrated Battle for the Planet of the Apes.
The wonderfully amusing animated openings put the set over the top.
This release contains the complete third season of the CW spinoff of The Vampire Diaries, The Originals. The series follows three vampire siblings (Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies and Claire Holt) who return to New Orleans to gain back power of the city that they built. All 22 episodes from the third season of the supernatural fantasy series are contained in this release.
I share the thoughts of most "Guys" fans that abandoning the split-season Volume format of the DVD releases in favor of full season ones is a good thing. Further, "The Simpsons Guy" is worth owning for its historical value despite being a disappointment.
