This is my first smart phone and so far it has not let me down. The battery life has been okay, I don't download a lot of stuff or use it for videos or gaming. There are only a few apps I actually use. The S Health has been great, being able to keep track of my workouts has been fun. That was already on there. The size of the phone is just right. My last one was a prepaid thru another company and I got better reception, but no problems of roaming or no reception with Verizon so far. There are tons of features I am still trying to learn and figure out. So far I am very happy with my first choice of picking this phone.

My old Galaxy eats battery life... is the S4 an improvement?
My old Galaxy Stratosphere eats battery like like crazy. I can't go a half day without charging, and I have bought new batteries twice thinking that was the problem. My husband's Droid goes two days on a charge! Has Samsung figured out how to avoid this problem?
A friend of mine has Samsung Galaxy S4 GLTE and they have a problem with the battery life; they are always streaming videos, music, or downloading something. I don't have a problem so far because I don't do all of that. My girlfriend has a Druid and she can go almost two days without charging, she does not do a lot of downloading or streaming videos, etc... I have a Samsung Galaxy 4 and I can go to the end of the day before charging.

Quality of the built in camera? HD?
Yes, it is HD (HP High Definition 1 MP webcam) Old HP laptop camera was better. Full screen not so great, small screen feature is better. It could be me because I am new to this but no matter what I do to fix the brightness, contrast, etc... the pic or video comes out kind of grainy.
