2005 Volvo XC 90 - In dash or mounted on dash?
I've got an XC90 with stereo system. I'd like to have a GPS mounted either in the dash or on the dash. What are my options and what are the price ranges?
I have a Garmin 64 GPSmap and have it mounted on the dash with the RAM Composite Twist Lock Suction Cup Mount attached to the windshield (with car charger to save the batteries). You can these get from various sources. The mount lets you access the buttons on the GPS unit and you can adjust to your preferred line of sight.
The mount is around $30 and the charger around $15. The Garmin 64 is a great product and you can upgrade to the 64s or 64st (comparison information available from Garmin website)
I'm very happy with this setup!
