Good as always, a couple of new minor annoyances

I have been using these WD drives for a long time. This is actually the 28th I've purchased (I do a lot of editing of very large videos). They are always reliable and fast, and this one is no exception.
They did make two changes recently that are minor annoyances to me.
The first one is that they removed the light from the front. There are times when I'm running some long processing, and I liked being able to glance at the light, see it is blinking, and know that long background process is still going on. Can't do that any more, I now have to look at the computer screen and find the appropriate window to know. Because the disk is just a solid black box now with no indicators at all.
The second one is that it is slightly noisier than before. Low thumping sounds that they didn't used to have. Not a big deal at all, but noticeable.
Those are just minor annoyances, though. They're good drives.

Works well, minor setup issue

Once set up, this has worked well and successfully extended the range to an area that had problems before. This eliminated all those problems. Haven't ever had to touch it at all once it was set up. Note, however, that our area is not particularly big, so this is not necessarily a great testament to the maximum range, I'm sure we are an easy case for that.
The one problem was with the setup. You are supposed to be able to set it up using WiFi, but I could never get that to work. I had to connect directly to it with an ethernet cable. Once I did that, setup was a breeze. (Once it is setup, the cable connection is no longer needed.) That initial setup issue was the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.
I am using mostly Apple products: Mac Pro, iPads, MacBook Pro. However, a Sony TV was able to use it fine also.

Successfully handled a difficult installation

Our laundry space is very small, and has obstacles in the way that require lifting the heavy washer/dryer combination high up and over and around the obstacles, and contortions to get it to fit. The installer had to be a contortionist to get behind there and then crawl out through a narrow space in the top of the space. The installers cheerfully did it without complaint.

Small, feature rich, ventless, ends prematurely

This is a nice dryer with zillions of customization features. It is small, one of the few that will fit into our small laundry closet. It is meant to go with the matching Bosch washer, as they share the same, single 240V plug (no separate 110 plug needed for the washer). It is ventless, so no external vent is needed. I was worried that it would make the room humid, but it does not seem to. It condenses the water out of the air, and drains it into the drain (it hooks up to the drain, like the washer does). However, it does make the room very warm, warmer than the vented dryer we had before. This is actually nice in the winter, not as nice in the summer. We have found that it consistently thinks it is done when things are not quite completely dry yet. Fortunately, it has options to dry things extra, and setting those options, it mostly works. However, we find that it still sometimes ends sooner than we would like, leaving things just ever so slightly damp. Not enough to make us regret the purchase, though.

Works well, good capacity in a small size

This washer works well for us. It has surprising capacity for such a small size. It is one of the few that will fit into our small laundry closet. We had a similar Bosch model before, that finally died after 18 years of use. The only thing to be aware of with this washer is that the door is not reversible, so be sure that the way it opens works for your location.

how do you connect this? do you just plug it into an electrical socket or do you have to connect it via ethernet to something, or something else?

Does it have a separate ssid ?
Yes, it has a separate SSID. Typically you would choose something like "XXXX-Ext" or something along those lines, where XXXX is your current SSID. At least that's what I see all my neighbors doing, since I see their extenders in the WiFi network list. ;-) Having a separate SSID allows you to choose whether to connect to it or to the main WiFi.
