Best iPad You Can Put Your Hands On

I was in love with my iPad Mini 4... it was my go-to device, paired with my MacBook whenever I had to do something that required an actual computer. When the 12.9" Pro came out, I snagged one after seeing what the Pencil could do - and after lots of failed starts and stops due to the 3rd Party Keyboard Driver Debacle of 2016 (I had a Logitech CREATE keyboard for it which would not work without lag until the latest version of iOS)... I was kinda done with it as a device.
And then this little marvel showed up. It's the perfect size, the camera is insane, and performance and battery-wise it's on point. Combined mine with an Apple Keyboard cover and it's downright my favorite laptop replacement. Seriously; typing on it is a joy, the iPad is perfectly weighted, and I can draw my comics all day long.
I've changed up my workflow so I can do less on my laptop and more on the iPad Pro. Stellar device.

Even though Apple recently recalled the first set of USB-C cables that came with the early MacBook 12" Retina laptops, you can do yourself a favor by snagging an extra cable or two. These cables don't have the same defect and seem to be less pliable as well (meaning less chance of a bent/broken cord near the connectors).

3D touch is fine for now, it does make your core apps a bit faster (at least, those that have context menus). But most likely will get much better over time.

What the heck took Apple so long?!
I love my Apple Magic Mice. For about two years I used the Mobee Magic Charger - it was hit-and-miss, and most of the time I'd forget that I hadn't charged the mouse (or that my computer was OFF rather than sleeping) and I'd be SOL or stuck using the trackpad on a mounted laptop... or trying to remember how to remove the darn battery from my mouse and then try to find some AA batteries...
No more. One charge and so far... about three weeks have gone by with daily use (4-8hrs) without needing to recharge. It seems more sensitive than the previous versions, easily fixable my turning down your mouse speed.

Good Sound, But Device Has Some Flaws

I've had my eye on soundbars for a while now, and one that did Bluetooth was a must.
For the price, the audio on the NS-SB515 is very good. It's easily both loud and clear enough to be heard over both screaming toddlers and dishes being washed in the sink. The wireless subwoofer is fantastic as it can be placed almost anywhere (the power cord being the limiting factor). The device itself is wider than I would like, and it seems like mounting it for a wall-mounted TV is the preferred course of action here - but for those of us with heavy wooden TV hutches, we'll find ourselves short on space in a hurry (especially if you have a Kinect or Wii receiver up there too).
The ability to remotely turn up or down the subwoofer and main audio independently is highly useful, as is the ability to remotely pair a bluetooth device. The remote control is pretty small, light, and imminently easy to lose - especially if you have little ones running around. The soundbar is sensitive enough to the remote that you can have it literally buried behind the TV, or try to turn it up or down across the room and it will still pick it up.
The device remote codes don't seem to exist either in manual form or online, so - your best bet at avoiding death by remote overload is to have a trainable universal remote.
The lack of an optical audio cable is a real issue; most newer TVs do not have audio-jack out - so don't even bother walking out of the store without an optical audio cable.
I had two issues during setup: first, my LG TV's software needed an update in order to be compatible with this soundbar. When I plugged in the soundbar and turned off the TV's internal speakers, no sound was forthcoming... I was able to stream from my iPhone just fine (so I knew I didn't have a dud). I also was able to connect directly to another optical-audio device and that also worked. But no dice on any of the devices I had connected. Was this a big deal for a techie? No. Would this be a big deal for your not-so-tech-savvy uncle? Yep.
Some TVs have a smart pairing ability and do not offer a PCM setting in the audio menu - which is directly mentioned in the Insignia manual. In other words: you might want to have your AV-savvy friend helping you if something goes wrong. Updating the TV software is a pretty extreme step to end up on and not something to be done by newbies.
The second issue was that the power cord for the soundbar itself is *ridiculously short*. We're talking 2-3' max. That they include a mounting guide for this guy is laughable, because you'd never be able to get the darn thing plugged in if it was anywhere else but right next to your power source. I actually had to cut a new hole in the back of my TV hutch just to make sure the cord would reach.
Those two issues aside, I'm pleased with the device's post-setup performance.

One-click setup with your iPhone or iPad? Come on. This router is a dream. The only thing it doesn't do is serve you breakfast.
In all honesty, though - I burn through routers once a year (usually LinkSys) because I run a home-based business. The heat eats these things live, and so far - this one manages to hit the whole house without needing any amplifiers or extenders. Speed had an immediate boost and managing it is the simplest thing in the world. Best router for your money you can buy (esp. if you have Apple Products in the home).

Makes the Apple MacBook Air look like a dinosaur

There are exactly two things you'll either rabidly love or rabidly hate with this laptop:
- the keyboard - a much different typing experience compared to the relatively thick and satisfying keys on a standard MacBook Pro or MacBook Air
- the touchpad - the "force click" dual-step touchpad is awesome. The haptic feedback when you align things in certain apps is very useful. However, if you go outside of Apple's suite of apps, haptic feedback isn't enabled for many 3rd party apps yet, and force click does nothing in Chrome, whereas in Safari it opens up a definition window (or whatever other context sensitive stuff you set).

The laptop is overwhelmingly light. The MacBook Air 11" is a good 2lbs heavier with a cover, and feels heftier.
Because I use AirDrop and Bluetooth extensively, I don't run into any issues with the lack of USB ports... the adapter is obnoxious, but remember that other computer manufacturers are creating USB-C devices right now too... so your early adoption will be a little frustrating until these new USB-C devices hit the market. The USB-C to USB standard adapter is easy to acquire and doesn't run you a ton over.
Combine with an Apple TV for a cord-free computing experience if an external monitor is required.
Battery life is pretty good with all things enabled. You'll be able to bust out a day's work on it with no problem.
The processor speed is also not an issue; I run the Adobe Creative suite on it regularly. Don't expect to be able to have the whole suite open at once, but standalone Photoshop or standalone Illustrator run just fine and pretty quickly. A MacBook Pro is your best bet if you're doing heavy rendering with multiple apps at the same time, but you CAN ABSOLUTELY RUN THE ADOBE SUITE on a MacBook.

Yeah, it can tell you about the weather, pull up the latest news from various sources (that you select), turn on and off the lights in your house and connect with many smart home devices (locks, garage door openers, and anything you can get to with IFTTT). No, it doesn't scan or make copies. However - if you have a smartphone, you can easily use the TurboScan app and scan the document in color, and then (if you have an iPhone) AirPlay it back out to the printer easy peasy.

For gaming and schooling, should I get the MSI apache pro 003 or the Macbookpro MGX72LL/A?
I love that the MSI GE60 apache pro 003 has great specs and that LED keyboard amazes me, but I am wondering if it will be good for everyday use, since I do want to use it for school later down the road. Also the 15.6 screen is a plus this Macbook Pro with retina display is great plus I can use it for school and maybe.. some gaming, since I am not a pro gamer. The only thing is that it is 13.3 inches.
So I am confused on which to get.. I mostly want it to watch videos, ocassionally play video games and on the side for school!

The MBP Retina 13" won't disappoint.
Load up Steam and you've got a great source of games. If you'll be lugging around your computer wherever you go, the MBP is a great choice since it's so light.
Plus, burning the midnight oil is hard on your eyes, writing a paper at 3AM is much easier on a retina display.
