This is a movie I was so excited to see. It wasn't as good as I was hoping it would be. The 1St half of the movie kind of dragged & it really wasn't funny. For me, the film didn't really pick up and get funny until the house party. After that, I really liked it. I probably wouldn't have purchased this had I seen it first. But since I have I'll most likely watch it again. This is just my opinion. Others may feel differently.
After a long wait, Gwen Stefani has returned with a terrific new album!!! Anyone who has followed her life & career knows that she's recently been through a lot. She used all of her feelings, both good & bad to construct this CD. She poured all of her feelings & emotions into thus product & it pays off. I would definitely recommend this album to anyone that enjoys great music!
Scream 4 is a terrific sequel that is much welcomed to the series. It fits perfectly in place with the original trilogy. Despite the film not doing well at the box office, movie goers thought it was great. A lot of people were not even aware that the film was released into theaters. Perhaps more advertising & publicity would brought on more viewers. The cast is terrific & I was so glad to see Neve, Courtney & David back for round 4. I would recommend this film to anyone who loves horror, suspense & the original 3 Scream films.
This set contains all 12 episodes from the second season of Paranormal State, a documentary series committed to sharing stories of the supernatural affecting everyday lives. Included in this run of shows are tales about a headless ghost, demonic possession, and crop circles.
I've always enjoyed Paranormal State. I like the cast of investigators & their interactions with each other. This show really has a creepy vibe & is very entertaining. And I have to say it, I absolutely LOVE psychic/medium Chip Coffey. He is a gifted psychic but is also incredibly funny and there's not an episode that goes by that he's on that I'm not cracking up at something he's said or done. Great purchase. If you enjoy this collect then you should definitely check out the other 4 seasons. There was a 6th season I believe, but not sure if it's coming to DVD. I hope it does so my Paranormal State collection is complete!!!!
The biggest names in horror return with 22 tales to make the blood run cold. Episodes featured in this collection include "The Geezenstacks," "Baker's Dozen," "Deliver Us from Goodness," and "The Milkman Cometh."
Tales from the Darkside was a fun, corny, campy romp through the strange & paranormal. I've always enjoyed this show & the warped humor it presents. If you're a child of the 80s that enjoyed staying up late on weekends watching this and shows like it such as Monsters, this disc collection along with the additional 3 seasons are for you!!
This set contains every episode from season two of Ghost Adventures, a show that follows three brave souls as they hole up for the night in various spooky locations weighed down with various pieces of recording equipment and do their best to prove the existence of supernatural beings.
Ghost Adventures shows a lot of compelling evidence of ghosts & the paranormal. Out of all of the ghost hunting shows, this one I'd say is the most legit. I like how Nick, Zack & Aaron research the areas they visit and explore the history before spending the night wherever they may be on their lock down.
This release is comprised of every episode from the sixth season of The Facts of Life, a spin-off of Different Strokes that starred Charlotte Rae as Edna Garrett, the den mother for a group of girls attending a boarding school in upstate New York.
OK, don't get me wrong, I love the Facts of Life series but season 6 was pretty weak. Most of the season was stale and seemed lost with a lack of direction. There were a few episodes where I literally laughed out loud, usually at something Blair did. I'm glad I have this as part of my collection but it REALLY could've been much better.
The sixth and final season of the Fox musical comedy drama series Glee. The gang from William McKinley High wrap up their emotional journey, complete with show-stopping renditions of contemporary music.
Glee has been a one of a kind, clever & inspirational series that has dealt with many concerns & issues that pertain to many lives in both adults & kids. They have also set these issues to music & extremely smart dialog. Season 6 has been a great ending to such an important & entertaining series. I've been a huge Glee fan since episode 1 and am sad to see it go but they did fantastically. The Glee series was built from a lot of talent, heart & smarts and I'll be watching these DVDs for years to come!! The series may be over but it'll live on in my living room!! What can I say? I'm a Gleek.
The soundtrack basically goes nowhere. There doesn't seem to be much use of the concept of "themes" for individual characters or even something memorable that you can instantly tie the movie to. When you here the Jaws, Halloween, Close Encounters or even the original Poltergeist themes or soundtracks, you KNOW the movie that song or songs came from. It seems modern day Hollywood and some composers don't think it's necessary for s strong score or using themes. Well, like this, what we get is a weak bunch of random sounds and jingles so I strongly suggest to the powers that be......THINK AGAIN!!!
