Discovered these guys a couple of years ago and gave their most recent CD a shot, it was great so I tried this CD and it is equally well done. Saw a bunch of Dream Theater comparisons, I can see that but I think these guys have their own identity. Great musicianship, very tight, well worth the listen.

Fantastic CD.Found these guys a few years ago and I'm glad I did. There are a ton of similar bands out there but I feel these guys are a notch above most of them. A solid effort, worth a listen.

I'll admit I'm not a devoted Mastodon fan, I have previous cd's by them and do like their music but I've never gone to the next level. For whatever reason I really liked this cd from the first listen. So I guess I'd say it's worth a listen if you are a casual fan, can't speak for the devotees!
I've been looking forward to this CD since it was first revealed that Scott Stapp was joining the band. I was a huge Creed fan and was very disappointed when that all went south. Scott Stapp got much negative press, deserved/undeserved who knows, but the man can sing and he does that here. Surrounded by great players the result is a great CD, lets hope they can keep it up, well worth a listen.
I have been a fan of Night Ranger since their first album, which is still their best, IMHO. But I love everything they've done and this CD is no exception. Nothing groundbreaking but if you are a fan of Night Ranger you won't be let down, this is a solid effort.
