I purchased this phone set for my elderly grandma of 80+ years old, she loves it, she loves the ease of use for the answering machine, how the buttons light up, and how loud the speakerphone, and headset can get. She has no use for the bluetooth portion of the phone, but it is an amazing phone system and setup. I will be buying another set for my household soon!

Can I program at home with multi-key macros saved to on-board memory using the required software, then be able to use that mouse at work without the software? If I can program the mouse on a mac at home that would be even better.

No, you'd have to get an adapter from a local authorized plantronics seller, this product has a usb connection.
